I have a 9 year old Amazon double yellow head named Suzie Q. She did talk a long time ago. But she has not talked in years. I wonder if she will ever talk again. She is a good bird & almost never bites.

Scuppers, my 3 yr old double yellow loves Chica. He makes all her noises now and will call to her if he hears the youtube from another room. He will climb up to the computer screen and try to touch her.

I thought the phone ringing in the end was my bird making the noise.

i have 2 amazons a dyh amazon and a yellow naped amazon. i also have a african grey congo. it depends how much time you r willing to spend with them, and remember that they live over 65 years. greys and amazons r very intelligent, but there are so many good birds depending on what u want. amazons can be very hormonal and r stubborn. Greys can be stubborn as well. Cockatoos r loveable but can be noisy. indian ring neck parakeets are very loveable and like to cuddle. Please take your time

Yes, we do all that we can to make them live as "natural" a life as we can.

And in the pet shop they are kept in a small cage we buy them, and let them have a good home and a big cage I am a parrot owner and I would love to see mine fly and have a good time with other parrots.We buy them to offer them a good home right?

Dude. Domesticated animals are pretty much left for dead, if you put them back in the wild. How do you think, that dogs were made so tame? There's been an experiment - just to get the idea. Tame foxes. You find it here on youtube. "Evolution in Action: The silver fox experiment".
