The complete stupidity of this type of attack is appalling. Back & forth, men dying for nothing, attack & counterattack, battle finally ends, men back where they began. 1000’s of men lying dead for absolutely nothing. Sheer insanity.

The staircase scene at 1:12 was picturesque - shiny helmets, tight uniforms, young men artfully placed to take bullets, but they went out with a bang instead of a whimper. The surprise depicted at 2:36 is the best - from a howdy stranger smile, to surprise, to shock, to I surrender, to a beating off screen only to be followed by a the ultimate male grunt accompanied by a belly full of lead at 3:19. The SS man's dance of dying follows by a swan dive accompanied by his scream as he tumbles down the stairs to hell is worthy of a best supporting nomination.Goonz in trouble indeed!.

Great to hear from you mate! Yes, there's a lot to like at 1:12 and they were taken out with an overarm swing in some style. I kind of feel sorry for 2:36 but that's war. Poor lad lol. And the SS man sure made the most of his exit and did it with aplomb! All-in-all it's not been the best of times for these Goonz!

They make the German army look stupid and it was not, it is and will be the best army of the WWII. And all the opponents are very well trained to be just civilians without any military training and they should play baseball. They have an arm that any baseball player would envy, which is why these movies and series are not credible.

Interesting setting for this battle. But if I lived in one of those buildings, I'm not sure I'd renew my lease. The best "kills" were the hands-on variety. The bullet-on variety were few and far between it seems. But, in the end, it was still GOING-GOING-GOONZ.

be surprised that at 1:45, 2:00 , 2:19 , 2:24 and 3:00 they didn't finish them off, I was almost surprised at 2:40 too but they didn't let him live much longer than him 3:13

Yes, some of the goonz were toyed with before being eliminated. The one at 2:40... a handsome goon... was taken by surprise, then taken out by the sounds, but not sure how. Guess these guys didn't have much choice. At the start of this battle it didn't look like any of them could hit the broad side of a goon with a gun. Lol.

I think they all died, apart from possibly 3:00, although the one he was interrogating did say he was about to die so maybe he killed him off camera.

My Grandfather fought in WW1 with the 90th Infantry Division at the Battle of St. Mihiel. . My Father said, he never talked about the War. However, during the Depression, a fellow crippled WW1 Army Buddy of my Grandfather would stop my father and buy him an Ice Cream Cone or give him a dime. My Dad asked him one time "Why" and the old vet said "Because your father dragged me on his stomach for 80 yards to a trench after I was shot."
