So I think Janice killing Richie shows exactly what would have happened to Johnny if he had ever been abusive with livia. Shed have killed him, no doubt about it...but he was such a saint!

I was devastated when Dr Melfi was raped and felt the same, how could they have hurt her so horrifically. And Lorraine Bracco should absolutely have won an Emmy for that episode, she was incredible in it.

@Strani Plaćenik those were tony's words not mine. that is what he said to richie when he went over to janice house one morning when she was out buying juice or something, and richie was over there making eggs. tony also told richie to put his pants on. and richie did not comply.

The rape scene/episode was huge. I love the moral conflict that weighed on Bracco’s character. When I first watched it I definitely wanted her to confide in Tony and have him handle it in only a way Tony Soprano would’ve handled it. But it made me view her character through a staunch view with her sincerely being committed to helping Tony navigate through his own personal struggles and having him become a better version of himself.

Lorraine Bracco is the only one who has more of a New York/New Jersey accent in real life than her character on the show. The others have a big Jersey accent on the show and sound relatively "normal" in real life.

Mengele went home and hugged his kids too. I don't think anyone was rooting for Tony. The Sopranos was a great series that a US audience had never seen before, and broke many rules about what can be done on television, but ultimately it was about America and Capitalism.
