I was born 1982 so wasn’t even alive - it seemed like Dulcify was an amazing talent but even then still a little raw? Before that Cox Plate? It seemed he’d put some amazing runs together but could do couple of things wrong maybe? And Cox Plate day this freak of a talent put it all together. What a win and his stride here just looks so perfect. Just picture perfect. Goosebumps

Not a great sire compared to Tapit, Into Mischief, Constitution, Curlin, etc.

Yeah AP breeding has been soso for a triple crown winner. Justify definitely got off to a better start than AP. Into Mischiefs are my favorite current breeding to bet. Not This Time is also a good one so far from the newer sires and for turf races love me some Street Boss, War Front, Temple City, Yoshida. Some other good ones for turf of the newer sires are Oscar Performance and Air Force Blue keep an eye out for those.

Dan Mielicki was the youngest Melbourne cup caller in 1989
@MisterPolitical1
@MisterPolitical1 Ай бұрын
Greg Miles calls 36 Melbourne Cups from 1981 until 35 years later, Bruce Mcaveney called from 1985 until 3 years later, Dan Mielicki called it from 1989 at just 20 years old because Bruce moved to channel 7 a year later, and he called it until 12 years later. He and Bruce called it on channel ten at different times & Matt Hill since 2017.

Champion Horse. but they started to realize at the time that sending a horse to stud was a more beneficial option.

Duel hemisphere will fill their pockets with gold, but longevity is something the Irish don't care about, or understand. Enjoy it while you can...you'll kill that horse sooner than later.

A surprise no doubt. However, this is the ultimate addition to Aussie stock & racing. Is this stay for the breeding season or long term?

Pray his fate doesn't end as Ferdinand. A derby winner. He went to Japan. Ended up slaughtered. A sad ending. Reason for " Old Friends Retirement " farm. Michael Bowen tries saving as many thoroughbreds he can. The horse industry doesnt tell the ugly side of the the horse world.

I love her so much. The greatest thrill of my life was going to see her at Living Legends. She came to me at the fence and I gave her apple. Unbelievable. Never thought I’d see her in the flesh, let alone stroke her nose. I still get shivers up and down my arms when I watch her races, especially the third Melbourne Cup win. Long live Maybe Diva.

Very few racehorses actually take your breath away when watching them, Might and Power was one of them. So glad I met him and had a pat out at LL in 2011

Remember backing Hareeba early on his career Saturday meeting @ big odds only to be scratched and running at the provincials during the following week and winning by 10 lengths.

This is absolutely horrific 💔 I was only told about this this afternoon so am now doing the unfortunate and upsetting job of esucating myself about it and sharing it. Here we are in 2024, and the RSPCA still doesn't care about anything that won't get them more money. These poor babies, they deserved a billion times better than this 😭

we have a race caller Michael Wrona been here in the US for years one of the best of all time in my opinion has a lot of the Aussie polish still to this day. we also had jockey Kayla Stra here riding for a while a few years back . she toughed it out with the big guns at Santa Anita a few years ago but she went back to Australia if possible send her our warmest regards i sure hope the young lady is doing well back home.

Hi Tina, It's a long story but I actually met Michael Wrona when I was in the US on holidays when he was calling at Golden Gate fields. He was a true gentleman invited us to the track and even let us watch him broadcast up in the callers box. Thanks for your message and appreciate you watching. Thanks & Regards, Sam
