No wonder Mexican women took over are cleaning cooking and made hard work is hard work. We never lost sight of that. Don't look down on somebody when they offer you a job. A maid is a respectable job a lot of hard work and women are mades. Everybody respects her more than the woman who's on unemployment. And is an angry mean vindictive personality.

No one said it would top the original. They don’t remake classics to “top the original”

Thats unfortunate. The remake (2023) is much more upbeat you should check that one out.

Sarah Jane was a light-skinned black woman born to a father who was "practically white" and left Sarah Jane and her mother before Sarah Jane was born.

This film resonates in the gay community. My cousin had a strong resemblance to Sara Jane.

For every colored United States citizen ( BLACK AFRICAN AMERICAN or BLACK AFRICAN or AFRO Caribbean Nations which would include AFRO Puerto Ricans and BLACK United States Virgin Islanders and GULLAH GEECHEES ; Indians/ American Indians/Native Americans/ Native Nations in the United States; Asians; and Pacific Islanders), there are two Caucasian United States citizens. For every colored United States citizen who is mixed somehow with Caucasian peoples and who could pass for a Caucasian United States citizen, there are two United States citizens. That is how it is today which is not much different than everything was in 1959 remake of Imitation of Life from the one quarter of a century before that in 1934 when everything was not that much different than everything is today.😮😮😮

Imitation of Life the 1959 version was an excellent movie. I felt sorry for Sarah Jane because she was truly unhappy with the living situation where she was raised. Other than seeing poverty, segregation and servitude, she knew nothing about her black heritage. Annie did her best to love her child until her death. I love this movie because they had an all star cast. Also, a huge tribute to Juanita Moore who just received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

I’m still confused. So did she die or no. And if no where was she. Also where Df did she go at the end. Lol. How did she find them. I’m just lost fr. I thought the ending woulda made it make sense

I’m so excited to find this. To keep from post-series depression I look for as many interviews as possible. Even though the characters’ story has ended, I can still support everyone that was involved. Thank you!
