I remember when I was a kid. It was my second favorite book after The Call of the Wild. I just ordered it on Amazon and got it today. Out of curiosity I wanted to see if there was anything on KZfaq and I ran across your video. Thank you very much for posting. This is a gem of a forgotten book. That is a gym.

This is a great video and very interesting on how to manage the magnificent Berry Head and making it better for everyone to enjoy.Ive been coming here for a long time as a photographer and it is a beautiful natural place to explore. Its a shame the quarry is been fenced off but understandable with the mess created down there. The good side of it being shut will see wildlife claim back the quarry and be left undisturbed.Keep up the good work you all do and continue to make this amazing place for us all to come and enjoy.

Love wolves, but why? We are an Island! Until someone gets killed trying to defend their dog or flock! What next Bears? Why not bring back the Mammoth and Sabre toothed tiger too?! They have already reintroduced Bison, are they the prey for the wolves they have reintroduced? Farmers will end up shooting them all to protect their flocks and herds. Its cruel. Or is that why they want to shut down all the farms? Wolves kill people when they are hungry, that is why they were eliminated in the first place. No more countryside walks for anyone anymore, great way for the elites to keep people off their stolen inherited lands!

@Animal Educate You could probably learn a lot by looking at what other European countries do. Wolves are now in most countries in Europe, having recently immigrated even densely populated areas like Netherlands and Denmark. I have lived 5 years in the UK and I have found that you brits are quite selfcentered. It is a pity because you miss out of so much of what is happening in Europe, especially regarding rewilding and species migrating to new areas.

I have had one become friendly with me since May. Today at the back of my flat as i was recycling he started to yell at me, i looked up & there are two .ittle chicks on the flat roof that slopes down, I am hoping they dont fall down the back of it as i wont be able to get to it ,its a tight gap. I call him Hizzard instead of hazzard because he keeps upsetting the water dish & emptying it . He also sits close to me in the garden. For quite a while. He's good company for me.🙂👍

Be aware that what greys are being accused of is exactly what the reds were once accused of. The red were once hunted to near extinction. The UK Government, and regional UK Governments, propagandise and manipulate. "Culling" equals 'killing', which is never humane, nor "ethical". All squirrels are amazing. Reds and greys alike.

Completely unrelated, but I like your channel, and was just flicking through to see if there's anything about the pine marten reintroduction as I can't find much about it anywhere, although it's already started. I know they're already impacting the grey squirrel numbers, which will benefit our native reds. Is the pine marten a species you're going to be looking into in any of your future videos?

Easy answer as to why people won't change...they are stupid. It is not ignorance, it is not for the recognition of the evidence or pursuit of knowledge as that is available to all who wish to learn about these most magnificent creatures. Simple. Direct. Stupidity.

The entrenched hunting culture is going to be hard to overcome. I call it the trophy hunter tautology. They want to kill wolves because they want to kill wolves. If someone really understood -who- wolves actually are, no one would be clamoring to kill them. The 'wolf management' excuses are pretty weak too, especially if you know that wolves manage their own affairs through their territory and dispersal patterns. Wolves won't breed if the hunting isn't good, so seeing a thriving wolf population means your ungulates are doing quite well. I don't think 'wolf hunting' is valid, I just call it wolf killing, because that's all it was, especially in the U.S. Wolf killing was linked directly to extermination since the beginning, so allowing trophy hunters to run around killing wolves keeps the feedback loop of hate and intolerance going, and not only that, disrupts the wolves' territories, causes them anguish from losing family members, and its just abhorrent behavior on the part of humans. Its time to stop the wolf killing and open our collective hearts to the wolf and the wilderness. Allow mystery, make concessions to the 4% of wild mammals left on this planet,.

So you can send a small crew into the dense Amazon for a couple of weeks and get 4k footage of Jaguars hunting, lounging, swimming and playing with their young. But you can't get anything better than a blurry image of what might be a melanistic leopard after 45+ years of them having stable breeding populations in the UK?

i saw a report about Beavers that built dames and the wildlife thrived until Wolves figured out how to kill the beavers in the frozed winters. The dams failed without the beavers. I don't know what was done after that.

In my garden I have over 20 feeders, but baths and squirrel feeders, but what do I get ? About 90% are starlings and the remainder sparrows, pigeons and blackbirds. I wish I could see a nice variety instead of bullies who take over... even the pigeons are scared of them !😥
