Great video 👍🏼 Did you bench bleed your master cylinder or did you just add fluid and bleed the brakes traditionally at each corner?
@EagleMotorWorks
@EagleMotorWorks 7 күн бұрын
@@InnovativeAutohaus We did bench bleed it, unfortunately we were all very tired as we built the entire car that weekend that it was not filmed.

How was the brake pedal position? My brake pedal sits super high to reach the brake light switch
@EagleMotorWorks
@EagleMotorWorks Ай бұрын
The stop light switch is adjustable and sometimes needs to be pushed forward more. On ones that are worn I have super glued them onto the full in position.

i have a question broski , got a 328i with s52 swap , my clutch felt to the floor durign winter i figured a leak somewhere in the clutch line because master and slave have no leaks , i bleeded the lane it worked perfectly and thoruought a month it dropped again in the garage , thats prob the best mod i should do insted of oem lines ? what you think and nice video mate ! subsribed for more info in the future
@EagleMotorWorks

Hey! It sounds like air is entering the system somewhere. This line is nice because it eliminates the multiple connection points of the oem line and connects directly from the mast to the slave to simplify things and make issues like this super easy to diagnose. I would make sure the connections are tight otherwise I would be looking at a slave they are the most common failure and do not always leak a lot. Lastly I would replace the master. You have to think most of these components are 20+ years old.
@gorx2362
@gorx2362 Ай бұрын
@@EagleMotorWorks yeah you are right I love that you eliminate those and go straight line simple and reliable , i think I’ll go that route and grab myself a new slave while at it it’s only 2 bolts after all

What was the inspiration for the build? What made you guys go m52 and not m54?
@EagleMotorWorks

My friend wanted an RX8. The rotary was not something he wanted. He tossed around the idea of a JZ and a V8 but we chatted and I made the suggestion of building an engine I am very familiar with and practically no one has swapped into this chassis. We found three others in the world. So we decided let’s build this twin engine to what I built for my E46 since it is tried and true and hits all the boxes for being unique.

@@EagleMotorWorks I’m also in the process of building a m52 rx8. How are you going about prop etc, I was going to keep the rx8 gearbox and prop or is it easier and better to bmw swap the drivetrain?

@@EagleMotorWorksahh okay I’ve seeen that’s what most of them do in the us with all there swaps. If you’re using that drivetrain set up does that mean you’re engine is sat further forward than it would be running the rx8 original drivetrain?
