G'day How do I tell the G4 from the new LM carby?

Love it. I have a Victa Vantage 2 stroke which would be about 25 years and it still goes, usually starts first pull.

Worse carburetor design and terrible choice of materials. They also run super rich even when correct. Trust an aussie to come up with a half ass carburetor 😂

Just wanted to say thank you for this video Did my son's Getz after seeing this and it giving me the confidence to tackle it. A few snags....had to get forceful to separate cover from head...and there was a fair bit of old gasket to remove so had to use a sharp edge to do that which didn't sit comorfortably with me...but a smooth down with 2000 grit and it levelled out the minor score marks. Good tip on the silicone. I used RTV and left 24 hours before start up. Fingers crossed it is OK. Took me the best part of 4 hours...but that was also cleaning a very coked cover and changing the spark plug tube seals.

hey. i love this educational video. im aiming to do a tune up on my 08’ hyundai accent & before i got started i noticed i had oil leaking onto my spark plugs… i was told to just change out the valve cover as that might be my problem.. but now im wondering could it be those “spark plug cups” having a crack or hole in them? it would be great if you could help me out with a bit! thank you in advance

can I use this technique on hyundai 2009? and do I ned to use bolt washer or seal to make it more tight...

HI Mustangdude We have been trying to find a DOHC gasket seal everywhere just like the blue one in you video, IS there anywhere you know of, as all gaskets seals we have tried are way to thin, which keeps causing the oil to leak from rocket cover, Your help would be greatly appreciated. In desperate need of your advice.

I was thinking about getting a 390 so please post the fix. Hopefully, just a loose wire or kill button malfunction.

Plastic fantastic carbs P.F.C are evil saying that I fixed a few so far , the white plastic is more sensitive to uv light , and gos brittle and cracks . People over tightening the screw is also causes problems . The replacement plastic nediles and or plastic cover hole are slightly different sizes , depending on original and after market . I never go by the lines, as I always point the arrow following gravity . Some people love ❤️ G4 , not me ! That's just one bit of the carb , lots more problem areas the G4 has .

Everyone who has a Aussie 2 stroke with a G4 Carby must watch this tutorial..I learned a lot and thankyou for sharing your knowledge mate.Fantastic video..Most times when a 2 stroke has a problem its the Carby and most of us would miss the brass seat as a problem!I am repairing a 1990 Victa Mustang 2 stroke it has the flat bright Orange Cowl..pulled it apart and got to the carby and could see the seat had moved to the bottom...I dont have your homemade tool yet and used my welders file and it flipped up and hit me in the eye..lol..no damage done..so reseated it and all looks good...Thanks again.

not sure if you're still replying to comments. but I have noisy and possibly damaged lifters. ran lifter tune up and it has not quieted them down. got an 07 with 1.4 for my first car. (previous owner flogged the poor thing) she does only have 106,000 and I got her at 89. so I got lucky on the milage. but I'm thinking of trying to do the lifters my self as I'm getting quoted 900 odd bucks and I don't have that type of money on hand. would you reckon its a relatively easy job to do?

It sounds like the air conditioner electric fan isn't starting up. Run the engine with the AC on and watch for the fan to start up. It might start whenever the AC clutch is engaged, I'm not sure. But it should start as the temperature starts to rise.

I have a 2009 hyundai getz, when I turn on the air conditioner the engine temperature goes up and the high temperature dash light comes on. The radiator panel is clean, there is no refrigerant consumption. The problem occurs only when the air conditioner is turned on. please help me. I'm from Ecuador.

Hey, where did you get that blue valve cover gasket, i cant find any that fit my Hyundai Coupe 2001 anymore. They are all either to thin or do not sit correctly on the engine due to being too thin.

Oily spark plugs, assuming the plugs are the correct heat range would indicate an oil usage problem. Oil getting past the rings or valve stems.
