I love. This Stanley. Playing over that bouncey Midwestern swing is. Pleasing to the ear and. His signature. Comping mid solo. And. Shifting from single note to octaves. Lightning fast without missing a beat. Really sounds like he was enjoying his self

This is so much Chet and how he wanted to play with all the younger stars and up and comers... He gave a lot of exposure to so many great young players... Stanley Jordan a virtuoso player like Chet, what a combination....! Beautiful music!

Try to read up on how Chet got started as a little kid from a poor family, without electricity, and taught himself to play without lessons, developing his own unique style of picking and, gradually learning various styles from others. Being a master guitarist was only one of Chet's many achievements in the country and popular music industry.

This performance is actually fairly good, the only real problem Chet has is that he rushes the melody line for the sake of security. I've heard classical guitarists do this too and with not nearly as nice phrasing.

A number of covers of this tune out there. The amazing guitar thinking mind of Jerry is clearly on display. Cant imagine how many other gems are out there. Appreciate all those who continue to play and keep this music alive and inspire new generations. Thank you Mark for this.

No one has appeared to fill the void left by Chet Atkins--as far as exposure in the main stream for instrumental guitar---he had so much expression and had a sense of musicality----;their are some guitarists in the spotlight nowadays that think if you play a thousand notes per measure that is virtuosity --go back and listen to Chet he played the right amount of notes per measure---there is such a thing as too many notes.
