I’ve always thought it the way you said but that does kind of stand out to me. I’m just wondering. I know works based guys that use that verse to say see in order to be saved you must keep All His commandments. And go on the day they are perfect. If there’s anything righteous and perfect about me it’s only because of Him not some good works. Plus the real good works are the ones He has set before us to walk in, I do search for those. Peace be with you brother.

@@-TheMostHigh I hear you. To me, this is really easy to reconcile.. 1-people can say Commandments are laws, but that is a human interpretation. Jesus specifically spells out what his commandments are. Never at any point is there any mention of the law. You can rewind several chapters and fast forward several chapters. So it’s weird that people conflate Commandments with laws. 2-there’s not one human being alive today that keeps all of the law. Anyone who says they do is a liar, and the truth is not in them. We know that through the law, no one will be found righteous. 3-and if they’re going to call Jesus’s commandments the law, they have to ignore that Jesus said he is the end of the law, for all who believe. The law is called a ministry of condemnation and death. So there’s no logical reason that Jesus would want to strap that around our neck. What Jesus wants is for us to love one another and believe in him. Yes, let’s avoid sin. We’re not made for that stuff. We are made for good works in Christ. Anyone who says the way we prove we love Jesus, or get saved is by keeping the mosaic law is rejecting what Jesus did for us. Died on the cross that whoever believes would be saved. Apart from Works of Law. I’m not even sure those people are truly saved. But it sounds to me like your heart sees the truth and you’re not buying what they’re selling. If this helps, I really don’t believe you need to search for the good works that Jesus has prepared for you. I literally think you’re going to walk right into them when you least expect it. But be careful not to look for quantity of works over the quality of the one Jesus brings to you. It doesn’t need to be a giant work that everybody is blown away by. His works may be something very simple as a kind loving word to someone in need. God is not served by human hands as if he needed anything. I think the greatest work is a simple act of love that requires very little effort in many cases. God bless you brother

I don't believe at the time the mark arrives that Christians will be around. Why would one generation of Christians be put through such an awful "testing" while other generations blissfully skip it? Furthermore, it says none of us will be plucked from His hand. If the mark would have us lose our salvation, then John 3:16 would be wrong which it's not. It does not say "believe in Jesus and hopefully don't get the mark and then receive eternal life" it says our faith in Him grants us this eternal life.

I hear what you're saying, but I'm not sure I can agree. For thousands of years Christians have been raped, murdered, victims of pedophilia, suffered from cancer and other diseases. The apostles were brutally beaten, jailed, and afflicted in many ways. For whatever reason, we live in a broken world, and God doesn't always rescue us from the evil acts of man. It seems his biggest concern is our eternal life, not the temporary life. In this thinking he does not negate our security in our salvation.

Parables ≠ allegories. If, when reading a parable, your first instinct is to allegorize the characters, you’ve already misinterpreted the parable. The original audience of these parables was not 21 century western Christians. The original audience was 1st century Israelite people, mostly peasants. These peasants would have viewed the rich master in this parable as greedy and wicked. They would not have equated him with God. Using money to make money? Charging interest? Those practices would have been considered shameful by the original audience. Not everything in the bible is accessible to us today, unfortunately. We don’t always understand things.

Jesus is not the author of death and pain. Jesus did not come to destroy the world, but to save it. He’s taken away the sins of those who know him. He remembers them no more. Indeed, we live in broken bodies, that are susceptible to pain and cancer. But what a terrible thing when we are blaming those things on the living God who gave us life, and eternal life. Blaming it on the God who suffered a brutal death on the cross so that you wouldn’t have to. If God were doing the things to you that you have described, I would expect you live in massive fear. Because clearly he would be punishing you to the highest degree. *1 John 4:18 There is NO FEAR in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with PUNISHMENT. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.* God is not interested in punishing you, let alone giving you cancer in pain. That my friend would be a message from the evil one to deceive you, and thinking that God would do such a thing to his own children. God wants much more for you. Let me encourage you to invest more time, trusting him to hear you, and realize that any suffering you're doing is not a result of God, but rather a broken body that needs healing.

This passage is in Hebrews. This book of Hebrews was written to Jews who were staying with the old animal sacrifice and priests daily offering the blood of bulls and goats. Paul(?) Was letting them know that the old method of sacrifices by priests was no longer effective and had been replaced by the New, which was Jesus and a one time sacrifice for sin. Realize, ALL and any sin is condemnation, not just "willful sin." Even unintentional sin has condemnation the same as even big sins. God will not let sin slide just because it was not willful.

I imagine you realize you pretty much quoted everything I said in the video, so we’re on the same page, with the possible exception of your last comment ‘God will not let sin slide just because it was not willful’ If you are a believer, God will let sin slide regardless of willful, or not, and regardless of a big sin or a little one, and regardless of repeating it, or only doing it once. That is in no way to suggest that we should live ungodly lives. We should not. But Jesus has taken the sin of the believer away, once for all. He remembers it no more. And we will 100% be presented as blameless on judgment day.. If someone sees this as a license to sin that they don’t understand the gospel. In fact, this total forgiveness is the greatest reason ever not to sin.

Oh no you don't have to get saved on your Deathbed, all you have to do is obey him and fear Him, which that's what you did and then the devil came in and twisted the words now you don't have the fear anymore now you can continue to be in bondage to sin and this is what Satan wants all you have to do is get rid of the fear and The Obedience so you will continue in your sin, boy that devil is really sneaky!!! See when you had the fear you thought about it I got to be careful you doing this stuff no more then what Satan came in and told you oh don't worry about it he twisted the words now you're like okay no problem I can still continue with my sin now that was close, but unfortunately that's not the way it goes it's very simple all we do is take up our cross and walk with Jesus in obedience every single day plus we have to deny ourselves every day and if we do this that our savior asks we were living righteousness with him and we will not be in bondage to sin anymore very very simple!!!

People who fear God have not be perfected in love. [*1 John 4:18] There is NO FEAR in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.* You see @truthnow902 believes that they know Jesus, but in truth, they are living in bondage, and have caved into the message directly from the evil one. We say ‘grace’, they hear license to sin We say ‘forgiveness’, they hear disobedience They blame God’s love and forgiveness as nothing more than a means of living ungodly, uncontrolled lives. Let’s call it like it is, @truthnow902 does not believe we have been forgiven. Does not believe we are cleansed of all unrighteousness. Instead, they view people just as we did the Pharisees. To them, your sin is only taken away as much as the blood of a bull or goat would take it away. @truthnow902 doesn’t view the blood of Jesus as any greater than the blood of an animal. To @truthnow902 your righteousness is according to your performance, not your faith *[Romans 4:5] However, to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.* Yes, let’s be obedient. Let’s avoid sin. But let us not be scriptural frauds as we symbolically slap Jesus across the face, denying that his death on the cross, and our trust in his promises, has forever dealt with our sin problem. If @truthnow902 wants to blame Grace as a message that leads us to live a godly lives, then he has that choice, but make no mistake it is he that is buying into the message from Satan. In my lifetime, I found that it is the legalistic people like them have the most skeletons in their closet and sin the most. It is the people who soak in the grace of God that have learned to say no to ungodliness and walk in the spirit. So, while their words may sound religious and ominous, deep down, I don’t believe many of them really know Jesus. We know that because they don't talk about love, kindness, forgiveness, and our holing us in Christ. The only thing they obsess over his fear and performance.. Again, on the surface, it may sound like the gospel, but it's really just a shadow of the truth. Satan is really good at producing things that look like the truth, but that's as far as it goes.
@truthnow902

@@jesuswithoutreligion yeah I had a feeling that people were going to take this out of context, but I thought on here people knew enough about the Bible. This verse you were talking about I'm not sure why people use it for this but he's talking about the fear of the devil not the fear of the Lord there's a big difference, we have power and authority through the name of Jesus over the devil if we fear the devil he will keep us in bondage to sin we will be submissive to him that's why he tells us not to have that fear over the devil about to have peace and a sound of mind!!! ( Proverbs 3:7-8 ) ( Proverbs 9:10 ) this is proof from what I am saying it will back me up have a good one keep the fear of the Lord so you will stay away from sin and follow Jesus Christ in righteousness!!!!

The 1st commandment is to love your god with all your heart soul and mind and 2nd your neighbour dose that mean I don’t have to love god or my neighbour then
@jesuswithoutreligion
@jesuswithoutreligion Ай бұрын
For starters, you’re not under the law. Jesus is the end of the law for all who believe. The apostle Paul calls the law, a ministry of condemnation and death. The reason for this is you couldn’t keep a law on your best day. There’s a difference in loving God, and actually being able to love him with all of your heart, soul in mind. You can’t do it no matter how hard you try. Does that mean we our hearts don’t or shouldn’t have affections for God? Absolutely not. Does that mean we shouldn’t be kind and love our neighbors? Of course not. But don’t even pretend like you can perfectly love your neighbor, especially if they’re not very kind. The law came in so sin would increase. It is only a shadow of the real thing found in Jesus. Scriptures teach us that through the law. No one will be found righteous. So anyone chasing after that system is in big trouble. Now some might view that as a license to sin. But you were doing just fine without a license. How about we just trust Jesus and stop focusing over a system of rules to teach us how to behave? Again, if Jesus is the end of the law for all who believe, why in the world would we be using it as a measuring stick for our Christianity? Yes, let’s not lie, cheat, or commit adultery, etc., but that’s not the goal in the Christian life. The goal is knowing depending on Jesus as replace our affections, totally on him and just trust him.

The only way you will be presented as blameless is through faith in Jesus. Yes, we should turn from our sins, but let's not foolishly think that this is what makes us blameless in the end. Do you know who would have agreed with this? The apostle Paul. He wrote a letter to the Corinthians, who were actively involved in orgies, drunkenness, abusing the Lord's Supper, and much more. It's clear that these people were not focused on repentance at that time, but they knew Jesus. While Paul rightfully addresses their poor decisions, he ensures not to confuse their performance with their salvation. He begins the letter by telling them they are Saints by calling. He tells them they lack no gift and that they will be presented as blameless in the end, even while they are actively rolling in their sins. Sure, we want other humans to see us as blameless, and the best way we can do that is by avoiding sins. But there's only one way you will be presented as blameless in the end, and avoiding outward sin is not going to help. The only way to be presented as blameless before God is through faith in Jesus.

@jesuswithoutreligion
@jesuswithoutreligion Ай бұрын
I’m not sure where you’re getting this idea that anyone said they were sin in heaven, what you’re not getting them here. When you enter heaven, you will have a new body and will no longer be tempted by the evil one. We will no longer struggle with outward sin. However, if you're trying to suggest that anyone on earth who still struggles with sin won't enter the kingdom, even if they have received Jesus, that's completely wrong. As believers, our sins have been taken away, remembered no more, nailed to the cross. Every sin a believer commits has been fully paid for through the blood of Jesus, and no punishment remains. So, when we take our last breath, we can stand before Jesus with confidence, knowing that we will be presented as blameless. Any other teaching promotes a works-based salvation and is a total deception from the evil one. There's only one way you're going to receive that white robe in the end, and that's by knowing Jesus. If you're trying to earn that white robe by avoiding outward sin, I believe the teaches that you are in real danger, as it suggests you do not truly know Jesus and are trying to receive cleansing of sin through your performance, as opposed to trusting Jesus, through faith.
@bridgettegibson4950
@bridgettegibson4950 Ай бұрын
Outward sins need repentance too. No one will enter heaven in sin. The scriptures said be ye holy for I am holy. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. Anyone spread this false teaching will be held accountable for these souls who was deceived. We are not perfect, just repent of each sins everyday and be holy.
@jesuswithoutreligion
@jesuswithoutreligion Ай бұрын
Let me start by clarifying that no one, including myself, suggested that we shouldn't repent from outward sins. Of course, we should. Any other notion is nonsense. However, outward repentance does not earn salvation, nor does a failure to repent from outward sin cause you to lose your salvation. Teaching otherwise is heretical. There is only one sin that leads to death and prevents salvation: the sin of unbelief. According to 1 John 1:9, forgiveness of sins is not achieved by merely confessing them verbally. Sins are forgiven through the blood of Christ, and this forgiveness is accessed through faith. A misunderstanding of 1 John 1:9 leads to the erroneous belief that sins are forgiven one by one through confession. This passage actually addresses those who have never confessed and need to receive Jesus. When they do, "He will forgive them their sins and cleanse them from ALL unrighteousness." If you believe that the blood of Jesus needs to be reactivated by your words of confession each time you sin, then you are spreading false teaching. You will be held accountable for deceiving others. Bridgette, you have much to learn about who Jesus is for us. When I encounter this type of doctrine, I question whether the proponents truly know Jesus on a deep and personal level or if they have merely memorized a few Bible verses. I won't presume to know your situation, but I do believe you are not yet ready to teach the gospel of grace because you haven't fully understood it yourself. To be clear, we both agree that we SHOULD repent of sin. Our disagreement lies in whether the blood of Christ is greater than the sin of a born-again Christian and whether sins are forgiven one by one or once for all. Your doctrine places confidence in your words, while ours places all confidence in Jesus alone.

My question is the man that had his father‘s wife. He was a believer. His spirit was saved, but Paul turn them over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh. The man ended up repenting we see and second Corinthians chapter 2. While he was in the act, Paul called him an evil person. Was his fellowship with God broken while he was in blatant sin?

God swore “I will NEVER leave you or forsake you”. That would include this man. So if we’re going to do stupid things, we’re going to have to do it in Fellowship. So it was no problem, fellowship, but no doubt God is grieved/quenched when we behave this way. I think Paul’s context was this Christians behavior was evil, not his new heart/spirit. Our battle is not against flesh and blood. It’s against a dark force. And this guy was allowing the evil one to steer his decisions, and as such was committing evil acts. But he himself was still saved, holy, justified, forgiven, and clean. If you ask me ALL sin is willful and blatant. :)

The cross. Do you believe He went to the cross on your behalf and rose for your justification... That's salvation. The Holy Spirit testifies of our guilt before God, pointing us to Gods finished redemptive work for us. We don't receive forgiveness, without FAITH in His work for us. That's the only basis by which we can be accepted before Him. We attain a right standing before God by faith in what He's already done... Not what we can do, how sorry we feel, or how we can do better. The flesh can't be perfected, but focusing on His work on our behalf, changes our heart into gratitude for what's already been done for us.
