I read about canon choices and thought about Corvo's logic, so here is my canon (sorry for bad eng): 1. He didn't kill anyone in prison and spared campbell. He helped granny rags to protect her house but refused to poison gang and looted Galvany house.(in dishonored 2 you can find Galvany house and he tired of being robbered). 2. He helpled Slackjaw for hotel key and saved he's daughter and probably killed Pendeltons brothers. But it's not all, he robbered painting dealer cuz u can find Pendelton brother's painting in tower. So Corvo might interrogated painting dealer and told safecode, but he robbed him first. I guess Pendelton brothers eliminating is optional. 3. Corvo didn't killed lady Boyle target and sent her to her mystery fan (corroded man book). 4. Corvo killed Executioner and arested Lord regent without killing him (you can read a book in Dishonored 2 about it). 5. Corvo took his equipment and fought Daud, but spared him (everyone knows it anyway). 6. He saved all his companions. 7. Corvo killed Havlock from behind by slitting his throat(that moment was in comics the peeress and price). Perhaps while main story he could kill some bandits and bodyguards, cuz we could see that from dishonored 2, when Emily told story about her father Corvo. I guess game allows us to play both unlethal and lethal gameplay, but u must have low chaos and be stealthy. I heard that heart can tell which guardsmen or bandit are bad and should be killed and which not, so if u kill bad guy, chaos wont be high, but im not sure

I dunno about the idea of the journey being more important than the destination in storytelling. The journey can great, but if it comes to a mediocre ending, then that's what's likely gonna stick with people. Both are important, but the above sentiment can only work in an interactive medium such as video games.

i dislike Ada and Leon in the remake. I am sorry but Leon is a prick. a fucking douchebag with cold interactions with others. Way to more cocky and arrogant in the remake. Why ? I can"t beleive Ada will stop her mission and drop her gun for Leon if the guy is mean to her ? in the original Leon want's to help everyone. He is innocent, a pure heart. In the remake many times I was saying loud Leon what the fuck did you just said or do? Really? Are you stupid? They try to make him cool but it end up he is just being annoying and a total jerk.

I just can't take the contrast between the dramatic tone of these detailed narrative analysies, and me only going "haha green boi shword go swoosh" every single time I actually play these games. It's so fucked🤣 The weight of the story can get over your head so easily because of how the basic gameplay refuses to take itself seriously and have noteworthy stakes.

I apologize for making a *third* comment, but I gotta ask; how the heck are Dante and Vergil MORE demon than human? They're half-demons. As in 50-50. I may have missed that, but did it really say that V was dying because the human half was lesser than the demon half? I always assumed that it was because Vergil intentionally cast off his human half, and because of that, most of the life force went to the demon side, and was intended to kill his humanity.

Playing through this now and I must say I am actually really enjoying the story. I absolutely despise the gameplay direction though. Its fun enough but doesn't belong in a Darksiders game. I miss the old school hack and slash it was so satisfying and perfect and now it just frustrates me to no end.

Observations from a hyper-religious community- Unwed mothers in fundamentalist cities are often pressured to give up children born out of wedlock. These places also see ob/gyn care as taboo so Nero's mother may have died in or shortly after childbirth due to lack of medical care. Being a sex worker has nothing to do with it. I think there's no real reason to expect Nero's mother as a sex worker. Vergil's arrogance and contempt for humans makes me think he'd rather *ahem* handle those things himself. The woman in the cut scene who's implied to be Nero's mother also doesn't react to anyone else but Vergil, implying she knew he was different. Instead of soliciting clients, she's staring at a half-demon on one else has noticed.
