Out of simple curiosity about the world around me I've stumbled upon that big project out in the desert of America to entomb radioactive waste that will be dangerous for 10,000 years, and how we need to make messages that will be understood that far in advance. Judging by the longevity of Cuneiform tablets, I think we need to have schoolchildren do their homework on clay tablets then bury them around the site as a large sample of the language so English can be re-learned in the far future.

I like Roland Kirk's music, so I was completely convinced by Matt, to the extent I was like "wait, I think I've heard of that album". Unfortunately, being a casual Jazz fan means there's always albums you don't know because everyone has 80 of them.

Considering that tractors were invented in the US in 1892, that's quite a feat to have them everywhere in 1878!

In fairness to Tom, I am from the American eastern seaboard in a very hurricane prone area, and I took college meteorology courses as an aeronautical science major. I have never heard of "HURCON" or "Hurricane Condition." Apparently (looking up the wikipedia article) it is used specifically by the military. I would have called bullshit as well.

I want more of this series. I've watched it completely maybe 7 times. 8 times? Every time i do wonder by this point if Gary kinda screwed himself over by Intentionally scewimg the facts to make it impossible to know what's going on even when it's his article.

I'm with basically everyone else. That story was amazing. Not to discount the absolute genius that went into a tale of a horse that one by cheating. I didn't believe for a second that Chris wad telling the truth but I wanted it to be true because it was incredible, I believed Gary.

Matt said in the past, " You should really take a turn on this side of the table," and while I'm glad Tom is doing that with the lateral game show podcast, I do wish you would bring back this format with the other three switching off as the picker.

Burrito opinion: they need to use fresh tortillas from a local Mexican bakery (? Tortilla maker?), fresh salsa, and cold crunchy lettuce (all the other bits I'm not fussed about. I prefer pork, but am fine with chicken and turkey (I can't have beef), I need some kind of cheese, some kind of taco sauce, and refried beans)

What this video has taught me is that tom is a great friend, going out his way to let Matt push a button just because he knew that Matt would be so happy, tom could have asked to push the button himself, but no, he wanted Matt to because it would make him happy

Much more elegant than Kanji, which is by and large pictograms? i.e., the kanji for water, regardless of its pronunciation, resembles a river, etc. Much more interesting? Eh, debatable, Cuneiform is triangles and dashes. Much older? Japanese Kanji stems directly from Chinese logograms which go back some 15 THOUSAND years. Typical old british man If Tom had suggested say, hiragana, then the interesting and older arguments would be more debatable but, more elegant or older than Kanji is asinine. I have stornger words but I dont want to accuse anyone
