i need helpp! everytime i use the 6B pencil brush it looks.. bad. because it dosnt look like how it looks when you sketch. am i supposed to change the settings of the brush?

Hi. It could be that your canvas is low resolution. To get the best results from your brushes, make sure your canvas resolution is at least 150 DPI.

Hi! If the layer you want to draw on says "assisted", simply tap that layer to bring up the menu and tap Drawing Assist in the menu to turn drawing assist off. Also, if you create a new layer, symmetry should automatically be OFF on that new layer, even if you were using it on a previous layer.

@@IAmGiaGraham Hi Gia, I can't turn off symmetry, even when I turn off Guides in Action, the symmetry is preserved on this canvas))) and on the layer, if I click, there is only the Drawing with snapping value, there is simply no Drawing there))) I have to simply delete this canvas and open another one))))🙄

@@alekhina59 Hi... that's odd. I've never experienced what you're describing. Even if you have Drawing Assist turned on for one layer, it should be OFF by default on each new layer you create in that canvas. If you need a visual, you can go to minute 4:22 in this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/otuDfdl9td21d2w.htmlsi=-J2Z6YJsm9ndSLWL (you'd follow the same steps to turn Drawing Assist / Symmetry feature off).

Hello. It's not required but Procreate is designed to work with it so you'll get the best results if you use the Apple Pencil.

Hi! Well, I guess it just depends on what your interests are. I use my iPad to create art 95% of the time but I still like to experiment with other mediums every now and then. I also think it's valuable for artists to try new things outside of their niche. Plus, I've been an art supply addict since I was a child so sometimes I can't help but treat myself to new notebooks, markers, etc. 😆

Thank you! I just found your site yesterday and I must say it is very enjoyable! You make it look so simple. I have been using Procreate for a few years since I started teaching myself how to draw in 2019, and bought into the whole "you need this brush to improve", etc. and got overwhelmed. Hi! At the time I created this, Casetify was reaching out to several professional illustrators to invite them to create collections. I think you can submit your artwork without an invitation though... if you Google "submit art to Casetify", info should pop up.
