I am trying to ge the work left populated as guided by you, bit its not just happening, not sure where Am I going wrong 😢
@ProjectManagementMastery2 күн бұрын
Hi - It's hard to assess without seeing hat you're doing but the work left is (total work) less (total work * Completion %) =H12-(H12*J12)...
@batsaikhanbatmunkh65478 күн бұрын
thank you for the wonderful tutorial. Finish day calculation formula was not correct in my guess. Because if WORKDAY(J6-1,C6)-1 is sunday then it is become weekend. How about =IF(Weekend_work="No",WORKDAY(J6-1,C6),J6+C6).
@ProjectManagementMastery8 күн бұрын
Cheers! Yes that rings a bell, I think there is another comment on this. THhe latest version has =IF(Weekend_work="N",WORKDAY(J6,C6)-1,J6+C6-1) and the note in the instructions. "Please note that when a task completes a Friday night - and there is no weekend work, the system puts the completion date on a Sunday night. This is to allow the Gantt chart to calculate properly the After Date - as in fact it positions itself the day before the next working day."

Great video, like it very much. One thing for the high prio pie chart. I would prefer to combine time spent and work left (eq 100%) instead of a combination of total work and time spent, whichs ends up with more than 100%.

Sir, Thank you once again for this video. A few days back, I followed your video to create an HR Dashboard. That helped a lot. Now, taking the help from this video, I created a Resource Utility/Optimisation Tracker. The concept of Start and End buttons is a great idea, has helped me a lot to create a day-wise project/task tracker sheet for each individual candidate. Thanks again Sir. Best wishes . Namaste 🙏

Can you link this dashboard or one of the other task activity ones to the project dashboard and then subsequently the program dashboard
@ProjectManagementMasteryАй бұрын
That would be nice, but this would give us one of those 2 challenges: either too many tabs or external links which are often / always causing problems. Unless we have the project dashboard and the task list on one tab? In any case food for thoughts, (and while we're at it integrating the risk and issue lists!)

The look of the colored tab is great, but the true power of a task list would be the ability to drag and drop the task from stage to stage and this appears to instead need users to both enter new tasks and change the status on the 'Step 1' white tab instead of where you'd want to stay viewing.

Excel allows you to do things you would normally need to have a software to develop. Of course it is not perfect, specially when you do not want to have macros or VBA, but the things you can do "for free" are amazing, I find new uses everyday.

I found this insight particularly valuable, especially the aspect of considering the interviewer's perspective. This is something we often do subconsciously after years of being interviewed but don't explicitly think about. This has reminded me of the importance of tailoring my preparation based on who I believe the interviewer will be. Knowing the interview stage, whether it's an HR screening, a technical interview with my future line manager, or a meeting with the head of programs or country director, usually helps prepare more effectively. Good Stuff!

Sometimes they don't even tell you who is interviewing so it's good practice to ask them at the beginning of the IV!

@ProjectManagementMastery3 ай бұрын
@agapenilo4375 You ask so nicely it's hard to say no. I think you are referring to this formula? "=COUNTIFS(Task_name,"<>""",Completion,"=0")" In this I check 2 things, first that there is no blank (<>"") in the task column, meaning we have a task in there, and there is another condition is that the task has not started, which translates into Completion% = 0%

i dont get in your project sheet under weeks for a particular who is under multiple projects his requirement for every project we have to change everytime ? , in your video you have assumed some percentage for once initially
@ProjectManagementMastery3 ай бұрын
I don't think I understand your question but you can allocate a different availability over time for a specific resource.
@harshalshelar3 ай бұрын
Different resources are performing different tasks in different weeks , so under project sheet before allocation everytime I have to change the percentages ? That will be cumbersome
@ProjectManagementMastery3 ай бұрын
You might need to give me an example. You can have different resources performing different tasks but they need to be set in the Project Sheet as per MS project in front of each task. This is a project/task based resource allocation system. You should not change the allocation unless there has been availability changes or more work needs to be done on a task.
@harshalshelar3 ай бұрын
@ProjectManagementMastery under project sheet in tasks I am assuming they are different projects for which allocation randomly initially you have placed , but for those projects (tasks) different resources will have different percentages in different weeks before allocation how to deal with this ?
@ProjectManagementMastery3 ай бұрын
In this case you won't be able to use this software, in fact I don't think there is one that would do it. How can a system know on one task managed by 2 resources which resource is allocated how much? The only way you will be able to do this is to split that task in 2: task 1 for resource 1 and the other task 1 for Resource 2.
