For those who carry a hidden desire of being restrained, or those who find this kind of restraint horrifying and the just slightly interested. All the stereotyping from movies, pornography and news are completely removed. No violence, sexualising or victimising. Just pure focus on the restraint aspect. Kind of like H.R Giger with all the horror removed. His art gives those curious a chance to watch with out the need to dive into porn for something that may go much deeper than just sexual desire.

You are insane to think I would let you do that to me. You will die first.

There's more here than the performers' experiences. It's like a parable: if you give up your freedom, autonomy, etc., little by little, you risk losing everything. Here, it's presented as the slide from acquiescing to a blindfold, then to constraints, leads to the situation where others have control even over the air you breathe. Think about it.

When we watch this, we don't see labor exploitation as much as we see performers and wonder how difficult it was for them. Obviously they've practiced, and if not a "comfortable" role, they understand and accept what it requires. So, what was it like? I can sort of understand the interest in doing it out of curiosity to find out. Frisson, probably, while being carried in and hoisted up. Then? Maybe zone out until it's over? Or heightened awareness of your situation? How long did it last, from being suited up to release? Good to know before signing on.

To me this is a great form of Bondage Art. Or Art of Bondage. Trust is instilled and most of my friends including me would have jumped at the chance. However I think you have to be a certain height. Performance art at its best! Great artist.
