It's hard to believe watching this no college football team won more games from 1970 to 2001 in Nebraska did add Dimension what we did in the 62 on up to know what we look like haven't listened to Finebaum talk s*** watching what Texas did to the Big 12 and I can't believe Oklahoma what did it with them biggest mistake we ever did was doing the big 12 in Linton Texas in

He was too busy chasing tail and not recruiting man anyone thinks really started going south he started pointing fingers at the associated coaches forgot how to win or coach after winning three national championships and for Peterson to hire Callahan and try to Institute the West Coast offense when they do that offensive he's the coach has to be with the quarterback for way longer than what you're allowed to with under the rules was stupid Pelini can coach but he didn't really want to go out and Vegas kid to play here God he started flipping out and I try to clean the wind against Ohio State like you did something if the quarterback hadn't got a twisted ankle they were on the verge of rolling this again and what happened in the Big Ten championship game against Wisconsin

No I don't think Tom was planning on retiring in 97 he only did it after realizing what the polls did to him after Missouri up until that time you was talking to Mom green about staying and he also was telling every time there was a TV game telling the reporters that he was planning on coming back things changed after Michigan put ahead of us he kind of panicked I think because he thought he was going to miss out on winning another national title he didn't want to go out that way he had at least one or two more chances to win another two more national championships if he would have stayed with Crouch the Lawrence Phillips theme really just wore him out and then seeing how the what they did with Michigan to us after that Missouri game

This set the stage for Nebraska’s dynasty, the greatest dynasty in college football history from 93 through 97/60 and 3 they should’ve won all five national championships. They missed it by the bounce of a ball two times or they would’ve won all five national championships in a row Most dominant stretch I’ve ever seen from a team in a sport was what they did those next five years and they realized in this game, even though they lost that they could beat Florida State. I know they lost, but if you watch this game, they realize there’s no difference between us. They just made some mistakes or whatever, but it could easily went the other way and then the next year they played them for the national title. The only reason Florida State cause of penalties Nebraska totally dominated the game bad calls and penalties cost Nebraska the title 93 and then 94 9597. They win the national championship95 the greatest team to ever step foot on a college football field.

Before the nineties Coach Osborne had about four opportunities to win a national championship. Against Clemson in 81 PennSt in 1982 and Miami 1983. In the nineties Huskers could’ve won three consecutive national championships and arguably five for the 90s that was dominance.

How many games did we lose to Oklahoma in the last few minutes of the game where they come from behind with some lucky play or just fluky thing and they never once got dinged by the poles they get rewarded we come from behind Force overtime and win an overtime in Missouri and we get dropped that's b*******

If Ahman Green doesn’t opt for the NFL draft the 98 season arguably could’ve been another national championship for the Cornhuskers. He was also hurt for the 1996 BIG 12 championship game against Texas. Easily had a chance to win four consecutive National Championships now that’s dominance . Go figure ….….

Man I loved watching Tyrone Williams play. My opinion, the best corner to ever play at NU. Played against a bunch of future NFL receivers and gave them all a beat down. Multiple NCAA title games, played in a couple Super Bowls. Very quiet but just played hard.

How did Versus blow its own trivia question? At that time, Nebraska and Kansas State had combined for 7 north division championships. Nebraska: 1996, 1997, 1999, 2006 Kansas State: 1998, 2000, 2003. Colorado won the north in 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2005. Missouri won it 2007. WTAF.

The comment at the beginning of the 3rd quarter that Tom Osbourne could have any political position he wants flat Memorial Stadium is hilarious, given that he did go into politics after football and pretty much was automatically elected to the first elected office he ran for.

This win put Alabama into the natl title game vs Penn State. Had the Huskers won they would have gotten the Lions in Miami for the natty. So thank you kindly to the Tigers for that game. Incidentally my Tide beat Missou and Nebraska in that '78 season.

I'm a Ny'er, hence no college football here (Syracuse is Canada) however, growing up in 60's 70's My Saturdays were in front of the TV watching Alabama or OU play and that was all I needed to satisfy me. Barry Switzer for some odd reason/since coaching the Cowboys to a SB Title has been not thought of very highly in some parts/THE PRESS, mostly, BUT, that man can coach!!! Year after Year running the wishbone to almost perfection/still the most exciting offense ever, especially in short yardage situations/goal line/and winning 10/11 games and the Orange Bowl almost every other year/when they weren't winning the Gator or Cotton bowl- about time Coach Switzer got his due. Coach was 100 games over .500 at one point-think about that, only Steve Spurrier has been similar during that span. Saban came later, but that's a different story for a different era. PEACE!

I will always cherish the experiences with Nebraska football from celebrating as a child with my grandparents at 72 and Dodge after the 70 and 71 championships from coach Osborne pulling me out of class for a football conversation. I was a senior at Central High School in 79. Anyway he recruited my younger bros as well. My youngest bro Ahman ended up playing. What a time❤

1987: AzSt was in rebuild-mode. Ditto 1996 Neb that lost at Tempe. 1995 AzSt, roadgraded at Lincoln, had a decent amount of talent. The 1975 gbr squad who lost the 1975 Fiesta Bowl to AzSt was a 'down' yr squad by 1970s Neb fb standards.
