Thanks for posting this. For some reason, I remembered the part as played by Jeff Fahey. Him Carrey was still kind of unknown at this point, though Once Bitten was one hilarious flick.

The scariest part about this scene, like in most of Jaws, is how you don't actually see everything happening. It's left completely to your imagination. Adding these visuals takes away from that

The white buffalo was a practical effect (NO CGI in 1977) and it was a HUGE animatronic Model /Puppet. JUST AMAZING!!!!!!
