I discovered your tutorial videos a few months ago and they have really helped. I hope you put out more of them soon

Hello, I'm new to turntables and recording I would like to ask you how to connect the DJ turntable and speakers to the computer. Is it through the interface? THX!!
@grameu6 күн бұрын
Hey! The turntable and the speakers are connected to the mixer only, not to the computer. For recording, you need to connect the mixer to the computer through an audio interface (I use iRig HD 2 - easy to use and compact). If you're using DVS, you can connect the mixer directly to the computer via USB. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have further questions.
@REX-xe3st5 күн бұрын
@@grameu Thank you very much for the reply!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 because I am thinking about how to share the same speaker with my computer and turntable. I also want to ask ,if there are any recommended turntables and mixers for vinyl newbies,because I checked that not every turntable is suitable for scratching The budget is not very big I originally wanted to buy a PT01 for scratching, but then I found out that a lot of people seemed to have encountered the turntable issue.
@grameu5 күн бұрын
@@REX-xe3st You're welcome! You can also connect both a mixer and a computer to the same speakers if the speakers have the appropriate inputs (RCA for the mixer and auxiliary / TRS (jack 6.35) / XLR for the computer or audio interface if using any). As for the equipment, I'm not the best person to ask but here are some thoughts. The PT01 is not great out of the box, it requires modding to make it comfortable for scratching. If you're looking for a portable, I'd recommend the Omni or Stanton. However, if you can afford it and have enough room for bigger equipment, I'd definitely recommend not going for a portable turntable but rather for a regular size turntable and mixer. For the mixer, you can look at the Numark scratch mixer. For the turntable, many options. Maybe the PDX 2000. I think you can find affordable PDX turntables depending on where you live. Look on the second hand market for cheaper deals, especially if you're just starting out and not sure where you're going with this scratching thing. You can resell or upgrade later.

Every Record I'll be Cuttin. Where does the vocal sample come from? Sound like Defari to me.

I don't know, it could be. I got it from the scratch record used in this video.

Good day, and many Blessings to you. I'm not a DJ, but I've always admired the Craftsmanship it takes to be good at what you do. Big-up to you on how you did your thing on this track. Your cuts were definitely on point, especially when you spinned it backwards. The instrumental you used is perfect for scratching because it's clean & classy. Keep doing your Thang, lol. Respect!!!

Hey! It's on the scratch record I'm using in this vid, Swiftstyle's SB-002 (Phrase). I purchased it. Check out his website Scratch Break Records to see if it's still available or maybe some other resellers.

Well done! 🙌 It sure takes a lot of time and practice and you can't expect to do this overnight. I have been practicing this on and off, taking breaks just like you, coming back to the practice after some time and this is when I usually feel like I've improved. Keep practicing ✌

Thanks! I can't provide the vocal sample. It's on the 12" scratch record Path of least resistance by the Skratchlords. But you can practice with just any vocal sample. The aim of this tutorial is to describe the steps that you need to follow and apply to any sample. Give it a try with whatever you have at hand!
