Bought & sold a 5D (MPB) in 2018 and regretted selling it immediately. I have several nice cameras in 2024 (6D, 5D-SR, M50, X100V amongst other). I just got an absolutely "new" (original condition) 5D (MPB France) for €229 and I'm never selling it. I think it's like owning a piece of history that actually still does a modern day job. I have an EOS 35mm Film camera so the 5D is better in every single way than that. "Poor LCD on the 5D"? Guess what? Film cameras never had them. "Only 1600 iso"? Guess what? 1600asa film was really (and literally) pushing it. No excuses. If you can't take great images on a 5D then it's ................................ YOUR FAULT.

I recently got a 5D classic and it’s wonderful. I was out testing it on the initial shooting, and somehow I managed to make it to the camera store and walked out with a 5D mark 2. The price was right and the easy operation was a no brainer.

You're spot on.. Nothing racist in this song. I (European) lived in Texas and got around the US a good bit in the last 12 years. The mentality of the people in Fort Worth is still a "small town" mentality, even thought they're definitely not one. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it regardless. I shoot with an XT5, which is the exact same sensor and I absolutely love it. Might not be the same lens, but compared to older Fuji cameras, the AF is much more reliable and can give you great results. Will it compare to your Sony? Probably not, but you’re a photographer. You’ll make it work and it’ll blow your phone images out of the water, which is what matters. The end results will still be fantastic and worth it for the size. That and you can get a teleconverter increase and decrease set to give you more focal length options that are specifically made for the X100 cameras. Not sure how much that’ll impact the final image quality, but it doubt it’ll destroy your final images.

All cameras are good nowadays. Just crank that iso up for low light or add actual lights if the iso becomes too grainy(hey its the cameras telling you dude this is far as I can go its up to you now) I mean come on a small camera you can take anywhere with ibis. Has an integrated ND filter. Can shoot 6.2k 24p. Looks really cool. What else will be the issue unless youre photographics kids and dogs or any erratic movement where AF is important and a life or client scenario. (Im a sony zve1 user btw)

I can totally relate to your decision to switch to Fujifilm. The compact size and the convenience of not having to spend hours editing photos are big factors for me too. Excited to hear your thoughts on how it performs in wedding situations!

I would picked the Fuji XT5 , same sensor but more lens options. However, I sold my XT5 and went with a Nikon ZF, lol.

Bokeh is totally overrated- in general aiming for shallow depth of field - lots of bokeh- leads to a tonne of photos which look unfocused- because… maybe the eye of a person is in focus, because of autofocus- but maybe the person is actually holding an item- the actual photo subject, and this is out of focus… or maybe the person is the subject - eye in focus , but nose and ears out of focus - looks super weird

I think you will miss the AF and low-light capability also the Full Frame look. I picked the A7Cii paired with 40mm f2.5 G and couldn't be happier.

Great move, but I would do the following Osmo Pocket 3 for videos Fuji for the photos Instax square for the prints I have moved sony also to make things easier, click…print But I do have my FX3 for the main setup and the a7c to pair second camera. You said it right WORK cameras vs FUN cameras

i personally have the OG EM5 body and its better then em10 better in every way other then focus points. But EM10 mark 2 and Em5 mark 2 are beast in a small body really really great. but yeh either way og EM5 or EM10 are really worth it best in small body

Great video. I used my E-M10 mk1 for years and absolutely loved it. Only upgraded to the E-M5 mk2 when I had the need for a few of the additional features and buttons. Incredible what Olympus was able to achieve in these early MFT cameras in such small and well-built camera bodies with IBIS, touchscreen, WiFi, and tiny superb lenses. Thanks for the review. Good for beginners, definitely don't get this if you are a pro.

Used DSLRs, especially those that lack video capability, are a bargain. There seem to be loads of them out there in really good condition, but prices are rising as people realize how much of a bargain they are and how capable they are. I prefer to use CF cards in my 5D (and in my 7D) so I don't confuse them with SD cards I'm using in something else. Yeah, I've done that.
