See I feel like this would be easier on like your type of hair than it is on people that have straight hair or wavy hair because yours is extra thick

Formal is defined as intentional while casual is marked by happening by chance. Natural hair is inherently by chance. To be appropriate in a formal setting, every person has to demonstrate clear choice in their style. White women with curls cannot wear their natural curls or messy bun and white women with straight hair must do a blowout or attempt at styling. The biggest issue with a lot of African Americans is many are illiterate. Meaning they can read, but do not read carefully and blame the ending result in racism.

You’re basically just detangling, applying product, smoothing it on and the allowing your curls to separate on their own. In certain sections I would take through one to separate but for the most part I let it do its own thing.

I found a really good tutorial for doing these braids where the lady shows you very slowly while showing you which fingers do which parts of the braid. This imo is way too fast. I've seen lots of people cornrow, but lots of people don't teach you.❤ No hate, but you can't just 'begin to braid' if you don't understand what to do with your fingers. 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

@@JemilahAli yay! That would be awesome! I'm still trying to learn so I can do my baby's (in my pfp) hair. I haven't cut his hair since he was born because I LOVE his curls. But since I don't know how to do a whole lot with hair, I just brush it, put Cantu custard, define and shine, and sometimes bed headpÀà after-party smoothing cream.

I actually have type 4 hair and using this method actually helped with my shrinkage. My curls are not identical to hers, but I definitely see a difference. Literally just did my hair. Don’t knock til you try it sis

I just try to make sure the back is pulled tight as I get to the back. I also make sure the braid is laying on my head when I’m braiding so there isn’t much slack. It definitely takes practice though. Sometimes I have to take it out and do it again.
