I hope you enjoyed your stay in Ruse. Train museum is a hidden germ. Difficult to find ( not sign posted properly) but good place to visit. The lady at the museum was able to communicate with us in English and very helpful. She was a proud BDZ worker with many years of service .

Thank you. We enjoyed it very much, and I share your feelings... at one point I thought I was going to drive into the hospital or someone's back-garden 🙂, but that is part of the fun of exploring the Balkans. Have a lovely day.

Cool video! Can you, using Google Colab, try to predict what GDP growth, inflation, and the Moscow Exchange index will be in Russia in future years? Data for countries around the world whose economies grew at double-digit (almost double-digit) rates for more than 20 years in the 20th century are given below: 1. 13.8% - Russia - average annual growth for 22 years (1929-1955). 2. 11.5% - Taiwan - average annual growth for 27 years (1947-1973). 3. 10.4% - China - average annual growth for 25 years (1983-2007). 4. 10.2% - South Korea - average annual growth for 23 years (1966-1988). 5. 9.7% - Japan - average annual growth for 23 years (1948-1970). 6. 9.2% - Singapore - average annual growth for 24 years (1966-1989). In the twentieth century, the world's largest national economic growth for more than 20 years was achieved in Russia in 1929-1955 (minus four war years). During this period, real wages grew 4 times, citizens’ deposits in savings banks grew 5 times, and the economy grew 14 times. And: - First place in the world in terms of the share of mechanical engineering in the total volume of industrial production. - Complete technical and economic independence of the state has been ensured. - First place in the world in terms of agricultural mechanization. - First place in Europe and second in the world in terms of absolute industry size. - First place in Europe and second in the world in terms of labor productivity in industry. - The latest industries and advanced technologies: nuclear, space, rocketry, aircraft manufacturing, instrument making, radio engineering, electronics, electrical engineering and others. From the point of view of the saturation of economic sectors with new equipment and technologies, the Russian economy and industry had the youngest production and technical apparatus in the world. And sanctions did not prevent such economic growth in Russia.

Sanctions work! The energy crisis and anti-Russian sanctions have caused irreparable damage to Germany - Bloomberg A complete recovery of German industry after its decline during the pandemic and the energy crisis caused by anti-Russian sanctions is impossible. The manufacturing sector has suffered irreparable damage, Bloomberg states. Bloomberg Economics economist Martin Ademmer said: "We should expect a cyclical recovery in industry as monetary policy eases and demand returns, but there will be no return to normal until 2019." The annual growth rate of potential gross value added in Germany's manufacturing sector fell to 0.5% last year from 1.5% in 2019. This slowdown will result in a capacity shortfall of 3.5% compared to the 2015-2019 trend. Germany's central bank forecasts economic growth of 0.3% this year, saying the economic recovery is continuing. However, the recovery in the manufacturing sector remains sluggish, and recent data showed a decline in industrial production and orders, which could not allay concerns about its recovery, Bloomberg emphasizes.

Thank you for your comment 😊. I agree, the industrial sector will remain under pressure for sometime..., however there has been a trend to move away from heavy industry in Europe for some time, unfortunately that depended 'partially' on trade with China, which is now causing a few political headaches. Sanctions are not a perfect tool, but given the current geopolitical situation, they still are the least worse option. (just my opinion). Have a lovely day, bye.
