@@fatimakhdj I do work experience for school. This is where instead of going to classes, I need to go to a vet clinic for expierience which also counts for my grade so I don't need a certificate for this as it is just to learn. I also don't get payed but I do just work as a full time assistent. I will be doing this for 2 months and if I do good I will pass for my year!

@@fatimakhdji think it depends on the place. i work at a doggy daycare/ boarding facility and we have a vet as well and i may be going on our vet side to be an assistant and they said i dont need any schooling or experience and i think ill earn a certificate or something as i work? im not entirely sure

Hello! It's mainly because of the cost. RVC is too expensive for me (£36800). Edinburgh Vet School has fixed tuition (£34200).

In the US, assistants can do blood draws, give vaccines, SQ fluids, etc if approved by the vet

Hello, if you want to apply to the vet program in Edinburgh, you could either apply to the 5-year program after high school or the 4-year graduate entry program after you complete your first degree. Hi Lora! I love your youtube videos about vet in the university of edinburgh, very inspiring! particularly because i’d love to study vet there as well. i also found out from one of your videos that you did a bachelors degree in Zoology, right? I’m actually doing that right now and i was wondering if you took the specific prerequisites during Zoology that the edinburgh requires? such as microbiology, genetics etc.. because i also study in the UK and my university doesn’t offer those specific prerequisites, so i was just wondering how you got in :) keep up the good work!

Hello there! I took Genetics and Cell biology during my zoology degree, I did first-year general chem and it had organic chemistry component so the school counted my first year general chem as my organic chem prerequisite. Hope it helps!
