I had heard that the regular procedure involves 8 passes: 4 passes of 1550 wavelength and 4 passes of 1927 wavelength. However, in this video, you only performed 2 passes. Could you please explain the correct approach?

Hi Amy, when I do this it is just to help me go longer without seeing my hair dresser. Eventually there is too much brass and I have to go get highlights and low lights done. If it’s too brassy it might be time to see your hairdresser. This process I only do for my roots, so after a few times, there is too much gold because my hair has grown out. I would talk to your hairdresser.

@@SunLuxSkincareYou cannot just learn to do it yourself? Or do you choose not to? Doesn’t the toner even out the brasiness?
@SunLuxSkincare
@SunLuxSkincare 23 күн бұрын
Hi Amy, I myself don’t mess with bleach. And when my hair dresser does my highlights, she uses bleach. So I do not want to learn to do highlights. I only color my roots. In this video I am not showing a full length coloring. Toner does help with the brassy color, but it doesn’t remove it completely. I am only doing my roots, and there is still some brass when I’m done, but it’s not bad. So it allows me to go a few more weeks before I go see my hair dresser.

*here in Honolulu at Oahu Botox with Dr Kathryn Schaefer, they only charge $250 if you get it and a five treatment package, which is insanely good otherwise it’s $300 per treatment, which is completely worth it. There are other offices here that offer it such as Honolulu laser but they charge over $800! the place I went to, I’ve been going to since 2021 and fully trust. Heck, if I lived in Different state, it be worse flying here round-trip to save money per treatment or for the package deal because even with airfare, it’s cheaper than most other places*

I am so glad that I watched this until the end before going out and spending money on toner. To me it looks still so crazy brassy and a rainbow of shades. This is what I have been trying to solve as well but it looks like the toners don't do much at all of a difference. Thank you for saving me time and money.

I think she waited a little long to do the roots. My natural is a dark blonde and I color every 2-4 weeks on a tiny bit of regrowth it lightens without a toner and no banding! Hope this helps

Toner doesn’t pull out color… it deposits. Most recommend 10 volume. Putting 20 v twice in a row directly on your scalp in front first… hmmm

Do you think you can get skin cancer on your scalp from the hair chemicals? Chemicals enter the layers of skin and actually go into the blood stream . That’s why I do a loop frost on my roots. Nothing on my scalp.

I highlight my own hair. I have a fair amt of grey, and i find to blonde bleach grey hair is very difficult and it takes a medium level developer and extra time (until the tacked up strands are almost white in color) ie 50 minutes to cure before the results are pale (not white) blonde, otherwise I get brassy yellow, very annoying. but the results are very nice!!

question (especially for medical professionals/licensed estheticians) : other than length, is there a difference between a 14 blade and a 10R? and is one better than the other for dermaplaning? ive been dermaplaning my skin for a few years. ive done it myself and gotten it done by an esthetician (depending what i can afford at the time). now that ive switched jobs and work in healthcare, i cant afford to go to a pro to get it done (LOL the irony). but every time i go in i have zero issues with my skin and my skin looks incredible, but when i do it at home my skin gets irritated and i cant get a good close EVEN “shave”. so id like to try a new tool, but i want to use the correct tool. thanks in advance!

I've been box dying my hair blonde for 40 years and wish I'd known about toners, especially when it seems the formula is so much different than it used to be. I finally decided to use box bleach when my hair seemed to have too much orange at the roots and blue shampoo just dulled it. I have low porosity hair and discovered after the fact that 45 minutes just wasn't long enough. I have lvl 8-9 on the roots and 9-10 on the mids/ends. I used T28 toner and love it. However, I think the root area is still just a little too brassy and had already decided to mix T28/T18 next time I tone. I wish I'd run into your video before I did this ( about 10 days ago!). BTW, nice to run into another blonde girl who doesn't want platinum and actually likes a little gold in her hair!

Omg you are me!!! I love you and your hair is what mine use to be when I box colored my hair.. I did the oils too.. I am now 70! I don’t know where the time has gone but my hair is so not good since highlighting my hair all the time and not box coloring. I couldn’t get the Orange out and I’ve never understood how to tone., my hair is lighter than yours and the length is the middle of my back., I need someone to tell me how to box color again.. I use to use L’Oréal 10Nb.. and nice n easy 99… My hair looks thinner and ends are kind of frayed…I cut two inches but it still looks rough!! What can I do?! You are adorable!! ❤

My hair seems to be about the same natural shade as yours. I just used the Clairol Blonde it Up. The result wasn't bad for a no bleach product but it was a little on the brassy side. Are your results consistent every time with this product?

I just had a full face fraxel done by the plastic surgeon 3 days ago. I can wear make-up but it looks kind of crispy crunchy, if that makes sense. I have to wait for my skin to slough off the dead cells. The Dr raves about Fraxel. She said it treats many problems as you stated in the video. Your skin is beautiful.😊
