In the early 1970s, we used to cross that bridge twice every weekend, driving from NC to south Florida (920 miles) & back again. Both bf & brother were stationed in neighboring military bases. More than once, traveling north, we'd cross the old Talmadge bridge at night & the fog at the top would make it look like we were driving into the clouds. Thanks for posting this video! 🌁

That Kodak film really faded. But there's still a little color there, it could look a lot better with a good quality scan and some color correction applied. But even Peter Jackson and James Cameron seem to be incapable of getting good quality scans of their films made, so maybe I am asking for too much.

I'm glad they demolished that bridge before something like the Francis Scott Key Bridge happened to it.

Thank you for this Damon. These people made a big impact on me. And idea that the author fell off a stage. And then died after that fall from burning man is just a little weird.

"Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. which has the highest twin steeples in all of downtown, designed by architect Francis Baldwin. The square was laid out in 1873 and named in honor of the Marquis de Lafayette, a French general under George Washington during the American Revolutionary War. The centerpiece of the square is the Semiquincentenary Fountain that the Colonial Dames of America presented the city with to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Savannah’s founding. "

As a resident of downtown historic Savannah, I was in the background of dozens of photographs taken by tourists every single time I left my apartment. I figure that I am in the background of literally tens of thousands of photographs and hundreds of videos, (if not many times that) all of these photos and videos are sitting rotting in closets all around the world.

I lived a block off Abercorn when this happened. Normally an extremely busy road. But i’ll never forget walking around and looking down Abercorn as it was covered in white and without a single car. So eerie. Still my only White Christmas! 😂
