Thanks for sharing this video. My Great Great uncle is Chief Payepot (Piapot) and my Great Grandfather Chief Abel Watetch who's the nephew of Chief Piapot, and he was the author of the book "PAYEPOT and His People", and he was also a WW1 disabled vet from the 102nd CEF, and my elders had always told me that treaty #4 was a bad deal from the Canadian Crown to our people the Piapot Band 75

This is absolutely amazing. 2, 4, 6 , 8 pairs of boys and girls swinging together like that is a noble gas atom, most stable form of elements. cool

Yeah, I'm 40 myself and my grandparents were born from the 1920s to 1940s. In my area of Canada, a couple hours east of Winnipeg, most of their generation was born out the bush and the language was their first language. They legitimately grew up the old way. Surprisingly our connection back to the 1800s isn't that long ago.

I’m from Sioux Valley Dakota Nation and we still speak our language fairly good here. I’d like to point out a mistake, or a misconception that he said. He called the Ihanktunwanna Ihanktunwan “Nakota” but they are not. They are actually Dakota. The actual Nakota are the Assiniboine and Stoney tribes.

Why are they clogging while square dancing? We never did this when I was a square dancer.
@hinterwaldler1122 Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't call this square dance! Ok..they are danceing square dance moves, but there is no caller. And the caller is a key to square dance. Its good dancing thoug its not for me. I rather do a hot hash pattern that gets my brains steaming.
