Steven's Big Finish stories are ones of the best written and acted. Seriously.

An easy way to bring back old Doctors would be to follow this format and say they're semi-parallel versions, who never regenerated, but stayed the same and grew older.

It's great seeing all these old friends come back again for a visit, and being treated with affection and respect. For me, this is a more satisfying season finale than the one they wrote for Gatwa (which has all the usual season-finale problems). Gatwa's a good performer, but the writing really hasn't done much for him this season--and every Who fan knows what THAT's like. The tone here is much more thoughtful, and the slower pace helps too.

IMHO, Jamie is the next companion who deserves a full-on comeback on the current show right after Susan.

I imagine that these older versions of their previous incarnations still went on the adventures their successors went on. Like 7 here put his consciousness in the fob watch in order to hide from the family of blood, he went onto befriend Amelia Pond, and punched his way out to Galifrey.

My late Mum was Scottish and I was named after Jamie. My Mum loved that there was a traditional Scotsman in Dr Who even although she wasn't very impressed with the accent.😂 My parents kept the tradition going and named my younger sister Sarah.

We don't get to see them in America, either, so the posts are appreciated. Looks like Christmas before anything else is revealed. I've got time, but at 67, not all that much.

I first saw Jamie and Zoe on vhs in the late '80's when i was about 10 to 12 years old. Loved Jamie and had a crush on Zoe, all these years later they both look healthy and rather marvellous.
