Did they nerf the reward that bad?

The Airfield is separated in 4 distinct modules in Air SB. The Runway, Hangars, Living Quarters and Fuel Depot. It's best to look for a guide online to learn how they are positioned.... but they're pretty standard (only difference is between WW2 airfield design and Modern airfield).

I usually go with Mighty Maus vs bases, even if you get more TNT damage with Zunis you get more score points for hits (and you get 285 in all of the launchers on F4). However, it's best to test both of them yourself. They might've changed with the latest patches.

Well, you can still get a decent amount of activity points if you have enough rockets. But be aware of the AA defenses, they will eat your plane up and you have to launch under 4 km since the rockets will self-destruct if you fire further away.

Still works, been doing it for the crafting event. Just gotta find a good lobby without a lot of fighters. For me, I go 20K feet above the base, roll onto by back, nose down, and aim at one of the building quadrants. I usually get blasted as I'm running out of rockets. Sometimes they're all gone, sometimes I have a few left. Either way, its suicide so have some SL to pay, or get the Jap premium F4.

I do have and use a Joystick from time to time, but in this recording I was away from home so.... I used what I had available.

You can set a dedicated button for "salvo" fire and it will continuously shoot rockets as long as you're holding the button. You can find it in Controls menu, at Aircraft -> Weapons section, should be "Fire Rockets Salvo" or something like it. Same for bombs, there is a dedicated control named "Drop bomb series" or similar to this.

Just use salvo for bombs too tbh. @@Insanerobert44

I think it was around 1000 activity points for a full succesful run.

@@Insanerobert44 so i use A-10. I just got about 200-300 or 10(sometime)

@@FBIHunt it works so well on F4 Phantom II because it gets 285 FFAR rockets, compared to 84 rockets on A-10. It's the biggest quantity of rockets in one loadout, in-game. For other jets, it may be better to focus on bombs instead.

I got 2000 score twice, but i don't know why. i just didn't miss any rocket, and the taget is green or yellow HP.

I just switched the hud display for rockets target (in cockpit) and was there. You can set an input button in controls for this.

@@Insanerobert44 ; That is not what I am talking about, I am talking about the HEADING at the bottom of the hud.

@@FirstDagger well, that's all I did, I made no other additional changes. I also have all indicators switched on in settings ( that should be for air battles in the upper left corner) so perhaps this shows up in the cockpit hud as well, when no compass is available.

@@Insanerobert44 ; Seeing as the video is a bit older, does the heading in the F-4E's HUD still show up for you? As apparently they removed the heading from several screens a while ago.

@@FirstDagger I will have to check out when I am home. But I can confirm that this video was done before the last patch release.

The miniguns on the chopper are actually nice, too bad there's not enough soft targets to use them on and the M163 Vulcans are pretty deadly against AB205 with it's puny 14 FFARs.
