What do you think is causing this smoke on my 2015 2.5 Outback? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nrqBhMSUpp6Xops.html I took intake plenum off etc to replace the PCV union, as well as some coolant hoses and other things related to coolant. Put everything back together. Engine fired up fine, but after about 2 min, I start to get this smoke that seems to be eminating from front, lower, drivers side. I dont have any check engine lights when it happens. Looking at my coolant and oil temp but are below or in low 100's. I turn it off soon after I see the smoke because I dont know if its gonna start a fire or something. With all that said, when I was tearing stuff apart I saw a mouse had recently made a home in my engine. While I had the PCV valve off overnight, I was worried mouse would go into engine so I stuffed paper shop towels into the 2 holes. When I came back in morning, one of the towels was chewed some, the other was completely gone. I looked down in the hole (I believe it was the hole of the PCV union thats on the drivers side. I didnt see any towel or anything down there. If you hear my wife in the video she says it smells like burning shop towels but then when he lit a towel on fire, the smell wasnt the same so I dunno....

all that work to fix up the cylinder head but you're reusing the old chain and guides? it's the old style of chain which is susceptible to stretch (which is probably why the original tensioner failed as it had to overextend far). The new revised style of chain has the links arranged differently and is meant to last longer.

Im stumped. I have an 04 expedition 5.4 l with an automatic trans. The fluid and filter are about 3 months old so fairly new. Recently it started shifting hard. I try and take off from park or a dead stop and i give it gas and it revs up then it feels like it slams into gear. Makes the tires squeal and everything and jerks the whole vehicle. Im not a transmission expert please help im lost

Would this issue make it so the car can not move? Ive been tring to figure it out my 2008 rav4 can't move. I can tow it. Thats how i got it home. The transmission is absolutely fine the engine is absolutely fine if not so so clean and super nice. Beautifully purrs. No problems so. I took off from a stop light.BOOM!! one loud BOOM then almost a swooshing sound like the breaks were still engaged slowing the vehicle down till it came to a stop. That was it. The cv axels are good. The breaks and calipers and rotors aren't even 6 months old. Hubs were done 2 years ago. Differential does have a little fluid around it now. That is the only difference i can find. I do notice with the car off the breaks are VERY HARD TO PUSH. That could be because it off? Should that make a difference? But that differential wont make it so it wont move. the front tires should pull it no matter what. The diferentiall is only what my car engages to make it 4x4 on demand not full time. So front wheels shoukd pull it. Right? Or am i not understanding. 😔

Hey I got 2012 bmw x1 took it to a mechanic got my timing chain and radiator replaced but engine light still coming up and it’s saying reduced power can it be because of the vacuum hose? and vacuum pump that I have is worn out?

"Dual Sequential Gearing" = DSG 🤣 What is the purpose of turning the Accessory power off and holding the pedal down? There isn't any voltage comunicating with the ECU at that point. Just hold it down with accessory power on and start the car.

Alternator has 13.5v and then it drops and comes back after sometime. Is it an alternator issue?

THANK YOU! I just diagnosed the unit as malfuctioning, cable is fine. My dash shifting indicator lights are working fine. (2005 RAV4 automatic w/ 220k) My symptom, loud bang and jerk when u press the accelorator with it's in reverse. BUT! If I put it in reverse and wait 2-3 seconds and give it time to adjust (engage)then press the gas pedal, it NEVER bangs. So mine SEEMS electrical failin?, but it's still working for the most part. I'm going to spray wire harness with electrical cleaner and hit hardware/lever with PB Blaster B4 buying new one, $120. What do u think?
