Gettttin it! U still liking the bionic? And i just bought my second GTS, bought the Recurve this time since my GTS already has about 2400 miles on it in about 7 months lol. And i needed a backup for the Winman race in wisconsin in a couple weeks! But yeah dude 25mph is plenty fast for a onewheel but the GTS is a champ and has plenty of head room above 25mph so u can steady cruise at 25 no prob and im at about 210lbs. You would dig the GTS if u got one in the future i guarantee it fosho

Carving practice: Go to an unused part of a parking lot and ride along the tips of the parking space lines. Slowly salom around those line ends. I find just pushing down with one foot a lifting with the other, just an inch or two will get the carving started. That causes the wheel to lean left then right and doesn't upset your normal stance.

aaah nice ,,,,, that's better! Looks good the body armour. Mirror also looks mounted just right .... I can relax on your behalf now 😁 Gloves ..... I use lightweight, motocross gloves with built in knuckle guards..... mine are full-finger type, with a special fingertip that will operate a touch-screen -- very useful. With separate wrist guards with sliders, this keeps my upper part of me protected if I go down ....I have fallen once or twice and I try to fold at the knees and roll, as a face-plant is going to hurt. I also use an elasticated tether, so if I fall at any sort of speed -- this keeps me and the wheel close ---- nothing worse than the thought of a fall and the wheel spinning off and taking down a pedestrian. Have a good one! ----- Rick-the-Brit on the other side of the pond

What up Rick? Yea. Onewheels are cool. More of a chill vibe. EUC has that speed racer feel. More power, range, and speed. Usually if I’m doing anything where I need to think I use the Onewheel. It’s just easier. The EUC demands all my attention. I suppose I’ll get good enough one day to where it’s just as comfortable. Then I can use it for transportation and not just a joy ride.

I'm in about the same spot that you're in. I can get my Inmotion V12 up to about 25mph without wobbles (and with somewhat low tire pressure). And 25mph feels really fast to me right now... Just ordered an ET Max and hope to get comfortable at higher speeds so that 25-30 can just be normal.

@grb1969
@grb1969 9 күн бұрын
{tl:dr. Very long, but you asked. 😆} Carving helps reduce wobbles. Carve to prevent wobbles and carve to help recover from wobbles. If you’re not carving, you’re at much higher risk for wobbles… riding straight down the road on the crown of your tire is asking for trouble because every pebble, bump or perturbation will upset your perceived stability and force you to have a delayed reaction, then over correction, then induced oscillations = wobbles! To prevent wobbles any rider should be continuously shifting your weight across the centerline of the wheel so that there is an outside centrifugal force between your leg and the wheel that enhances control and stability. That said, wobbles are a complex phenomenon that relates to the design of EUCs but can be almost completely negated with training time and the experience that builds up muscle memory and fine motor coordination, which takes years to develop. The most common mistake riders make when encountering wobbles is delaying the onset of carving out of fear, which makes wobbles worse, then bailing out too soon before significantly decelerating… which increases risk of injuries. NEVER BAIL OUT EARLY WITH WOBBLES! Ride the wheel as far as possible while trying to dissipate the energy by redirecting your efforts into turning while slowing down (or speeding up too)… just don’t freeze up, if possible. Flow comes from being always in transition so that the inherent design characteristics of the EUC’s dynamic instability are matched with your dynamic stability and then the emergence gracefulness occurs naturally. Sounds easy but it requires time, patience and practice riding on unstable surfaces like trails, bumpy grass or dirt roads (these help with fine muscle coordination skill development) and will make higher speeds feel more accessible and safer to explore. In order to ride fast safely, every rider should ride slowly while challenging their balance skills on a variety of terrains at the slowest speeds possible… this opens up more higher speed comfort than just trying to increase your speeds without having built up a strong foundation. Exaggerating your carving might seem awkward but it will help reinforce the idea that you should almost always be on one side or the other of your tire’s centerline but almost never attempting to ride on that edge continuously trying to maintain a neutral straight trajectory (where you’re more vulnerable to the onset of the wobbles. Hope that helps. Now it’s only a question of the severities of injuries that will determine who’s quickly you get back to conquering this attribute that almost everyone struggles to learn and overcome. Love the gear but most gear is uncomfortable and unsuitable for Florida heat and humidity. That said, my fantasy gear in 90° heat is a full leather track suit with level 2 protection on all possible areas. I prefer one-piece but a matching pant/jacket might be better for destination rides. The perforated leather does lose some strength but is probably better unless you prefer to ride in rain. Most importantly is to get a motorcycle liquid cooled vest with an external ice-chest that can be mounted on top of your Lynx but below your custom seat. This way, you can get a 2 pound bag of ice anywhere on your ride and have an air conditioned full leather suit which is ultimately the easiest way to get gear on and off quickly. (Imho)

The Lynx motor sound changes as the speed increases. Try making a mental note of the sounds at different speeds and you can get an idea of how fast you are going without having to look down. The faster the Lynx winds up the sweeter it sings. The gyro effect will help keep you up at speed but if you start to wobble at 30 give the wheel inputs to stop it before it progresses. Watch out for grooves in the road that can cause train tracking. It's scary AF at speed. Have fun and stay safe.

Looking good! Make sure your pads are setup right. I set mine one side a little further forward than the other. It really helps with wabbles. Not sure if you have the lowering kit. It also helps. Try to put uneven pressure on the pads while accelerating and braking. I routinely ride the Lynx at 50 plus with zero wobbles with that riding style.
