1:55 Bad touching! BAD TOUCHING! 28:35 Do they have huntsman spiders in the Netherlands? 38:10 The horn of Helm Hammerhand blows one more time!

Hah, thankfully no huntsmen. I don't know if I could deal with those. But our regular house spiders can get respectably sized (still don't like those either). But grass spiders, wolf spiders, any orb weaver or jumping spider I'm generally cool with. Providing they honor the armistice line that is my windowsill. If they come in (unless its a jumper which can do whatever it wants), they get to experience my glass and paper deportation system.

@TheAshHeritor Nah, huntsman spiders are majestic creatures as they gallop across the ceiling like neurotic cheetahs. I do have to remove them, though, since my housemate murders them on sight if I'm not around

Hey Ash Heritor I'm fully caught up, since your worried about your poise being low while wearing the dancing outfit, have you considered using the Bull Goat talisman to raise your poise? Also since you visited these finger ruins it might be worth going back to the Count to see if he has anything new to say and maybe going to the other finger ruins too? (I'm not trying to backseat drive or anything I just recall him saying something about the ruins when he handed you the map) Also now that I'm caught up here I'm going to catch up on Rogue Trader too.

I'm mostly worried about the poise with the ash of war on those swords. I'm used to playing with crap poise, given I normally wear lighter armor, but you can get staggered out of that dance by literally any attack... But yes, I so equip the bullgoat talisman. I think I'll start making it a staple for this build. Might also consider using the physick flask that buffa poise... Hmmmm And no worries at all. Build advice is always cool, and reminders to do things is always welcome. And I go visit the count next episode, and discover that other map (though that map is unnecessary since I can already see the obvious finger ruin to the northeast on the game map). Now... How to get there? Time for some more exploration.

@@TheAshHeritor Since build advice is alright, are hypothetical suggestions about how to defeat certain enemies also alright? I did comment on your Caverns and Waterfalls video with some speculation about how to make the pyromancer fights more bearable but in hindsight I should have asked if its alright to give that kind of speculative advice first.

0:10 Don't you mean "prisoners with jobs"? 2:20 With good reason, too. Dysjunctions are not fun 5:43 Any successful skill check gives you a tiny amount of XP 10:14 I'm pretty sure I've mentioned previously that there is a hard limit in terms of how far back you can roll a character in order to change their abilities unless you use something like Toybox 12:06 After hearing "Anatomical Opera", I keep getting a mental image of drukhari dressed up as Valkyries belting out a chorus of... well, _Ride of the Valkyries,_ to be honest 16:20 Bold of you to assume he has any pity 23:33 Stroke that ego... 28:50 That hasn't slowed the Vylka Fenryka down before. Don't ask the Old Wolf where he got his axe from 36:55 Well, there's a reason for that and most Space Wolves are happy to accept the increased risk of getting headhsot that comes with it, given that headshotting an Astartes would be a tricky proposition at the best of times 46:23 Welp, that was a clear and unambiguous statement 47:30 At at least what she thought was a good reason 52:05 I suspect that nodding to Argenta might have resulted in Argenta talking to Idira rather than shooting her 57:00 He is a beefy boy, that's for sure. He's also a _beast_ in melee. Him and Abelard are a wrecking ball combo 1:10:00 Hence why headshotting one might not be as easy as you'd think 1:17:03 Yup, Abelard knows who he's working with 1:23:47 Just a little bit of friendly fire - a terrible accident 1:24:20 I am obviously using Argenta wrongly 1:35:10 Marzipan is... interesting, to say the least

Hey Ash Heritor I'm all caught up! This dlc is absolutely bonkers so far, I really like the dancer outfit and swords, I think they have some cultural connection to the Warrior origins since they have similar outfits and sword techniques. Also since your having trouble with the pyromancers in the shadow keep, have you considered putting on a set with very high fire resistance like the fire monk set? (Of course those pyromancer's flame may also be smothered by the power of the all mighty bubbles if you want try that out? The envoy horn would probably stagger them too).

So the game never properly talks about it but "eternal sleep" is actually a unique status. It uses the same sleep bar, but if it triggers on enemies that go to sleep (and not just stagger like some do) they never wake up, even after being hit, meaning that they are basically dead since you can just take free hits on them forever.

The difficulty of bosses is so ramped up in this DLC that I think the devs pretty much intended for most players to use summons strategically and often. I'm pretty good at combat, but not great, and, like you, I find no shame in using strategies, tools, or summons the game provides me to win a battle. I mean, in the real world, you want to work smarter, not harder, so why not do the same thing in a difficult game if your thing is not to beat your head against a boss for several hours until you get the right set of luck and combinations that enable you to win the fight? I don't hear players admit it often, but there is a fair bit of luck involved in beating a tough boss for all but the most exceptional players. Some of the bosses in this DLC I find ridiculous with their combination of size/mass, speed, and hyper-anime violations of physics, which tend to whip the camera around so dizzily, it's hard to stay oriented in a fight. I like this DLC a lot overall, but I don't like the trend towards making bosses faster and more endlessly relentless and tireless. Make fights smarter, not harder. ;)

The random items you get (like the Cthonos thing) can be offered to Tervantias for stuff. The possibilities now are: fixing Abelard's time drain, giving you Ulfar, fixing your traumas(unneeded), selling you items(luxury). Also, you could not have known this, but Idira is the only one you can get from him without asking - only by talking to her and succeeding skill tests. So if you had asked for Heinrix, you could have gotten them both. Otherwise, you will be able to release him right before you start your escape... keep that in mind - some people forget him and wonder why he is not on the ship later.

Dragon Pit...I always carry a sword with any build with the Sacred Blade ash of war and whatever affinity goes with the build, so when I encounter undead I can one-shot them, and permakill them with minimal fuss. Golden Arrows ranged are nice for taking out undead archers, or here in the Dragon Pit you could have sniped the big undead dude from the window above. If you mean to consistently play your Perfumer role type, you will have to be super good at evasion and timing, as I reckon you soon realized. You have such low armor with this build. I will be curious to see how this evolves for you in this playthrough. I hadn't seen dual perfumes or even the poison perfume in use. Pretty cool.

@synergy67
@synergy67 4 күн бұрын
@@TheAshHeritor Sacred Blade specifically permakills undead while it is active on a weapon, as do Golden Arrows under any conditions. So even if you put a different affinity suited to your build on your weapon with the Sacred Blade ash, you can still permakill the skellies effectively. One or two other faith swords have this ability built in, but they would only really be helpful for a Faith build. You can permakill undead with Holy Pots at range too. That's all the ways that I know. Holy in general does more damage to undead, but again that by itself only really helps early in the game or if you are a Faith build.

Holy shit this has to be one of my favorite episodes so far, as you said it yourself overconfidence and unknowing arrogance is the most slow and insidious of killers. I believe someone a good comparison can be made between the Inheritor and Anakin Skywalker. Both of them became the very thing they swore to destroy, Milena is the Inheritor's Obi Wan who will turn on them for the sake of the world, the Frenzy is the insidious Palpatine whispering in her ear, leading her to the path of ruin, and Fia her Padme who's legacy of kindness and compassion she was trying to uphold and protect by destroying the Three Fingers. But the question remains, who will be the Inheritor's Luke to pull her back from the darkness if such a thing is possible? Only time will tell. Seriously dude this was absolutely amazing to watch, I'm really getting hyped for the rest of the series.
