Yes, it is. Philosophy is how you think about the various components of nursing and the definition is factual statements about the scope of nursing.

Think about it: When babies are fed breast milk from a bottle, they don't get the natural cues that actual breast feeding provides with the foremilk and then the satiating post milk. In a bottle, it is all mixed up. This may make the baby seem hungry even after a bottle of breast milk. Allowing the infant to nurse to fully empty the breast allows the fat in the post milk to satisfy the infant's hunger.
