I've noticed that when I visit the link onto canva that customers have purchased it will pop up as though someone is currently editing instead of a blank copy for them to fill.. Is there a way to ensure when future people visit it it is locked to only show the original shared copy?
@DinaLu2 күн бұрын
Make sure you're getting the TEMPLATE LINK and not the actual share link!
@scottandgrace12 күн бұрын
Hey Dina, I've been watching your progress for a while and there is a lot of customer behavior that you're not understanding eg, why the conversion rate is what it is and why January is higher... Why don't you ask your clients? They know the answers because they are the ones making the decisions. Do an online survey and give away a few Canva templates as a thank you. You'll learn so much more from them than you could ever learn from asking your KZfaq audience. If you can pull some gold out of their answers and increase your conversions by 1-2% then you'll make a massive difference in your bottom line. On top of that, you might get some more sales from your existing clients that have already purchased from you because you'll remind them of your shop and they'll be like "oh yeah, those templates were really good". They know your work. When you contact them again, you are establishing a relationship which may have them return for more sales. I think your conversion rate is so low because you consider your clients as a one-off purchaser then you'll never see them again. Milk your client database... offer them a special promo code for an additional sale, do anything to engage with them that will bring them value. Hope that helps and you get the answers. Cheers!

Dinaaa, Jean here, I hope you still remember me, you met with me in Manila! I love the analogy you used on rented spaces and having a permanent home! I also kind of miss having my own home too as well makes me think if I should get back on track! I will surely sign up on your new blog ❤

Such a great analogy! At first I thought you’re referring to the fact that your audience on social media is rented, which is also true, but that your newsletter is your own audience. I see now you’re saying that you want a place for you to express yourself and content that is your own. That is so important! I love that you know that blogging is your thing. I’m kind of the opposite, where when I think about videos I have a lot of ideas but when it comes to writing, although I can do it, I feel like it’s a chore. It’s great to lean into our specific thing that we like and are good at. I wonder if you like to also read a lot of blog posts? Cause they say that’s the clue, is to create the kind of content you consume. Can’t wait to read your blogs! Also, I am currently in one of Dina‘s coaching groups and she is awesome! So whenever you get the chance next to get on that, do it!!!!
@DinaLu2 күн бұрын
Thank you so much, Cara! And it's great to have you in the group and so happy you're enjoying it 💕 Yeah I used to read a lot of blogs on all sorts of topics, but these days I watch more KZfaq videos (it's just easier lol). And I'm reading more books rather than blogs (but trying to not read non-fiction as I've ALWAYS read non-fiction... reading more memoirs now). It's awesome you realize that VIDEO is more your thing rather than writing, that's great! When you were a kid/teenager, was there some kind of creative activity you liked doing? For me it was blogging haha.

Do you mean for blog writing? I think it's a great idea if someone's trying to grow a blog for a specific purpose and they need more support on the writing side of things. For me, blogging is more of a creative outlet.

Blogging also has a HUGE boost for SEO and increases your visibility (15+ year blogger and web/blog designer). Having a hub for all your creative outlets and business endeavors is never a bad thing! Blogs are not dead ♥️

Also - I have clients and friends who make five and six figures a MONTH from blogging - I think you definitely have that potential :)
@DinaLu3 күн бұрын
Thanks so much for the encouragement, Deanna! I think for me, my blog would be more of a creative outlet for what I'm thinking/experiencing in my life rather than an SEO-driven informational blog, which is why I was questioning if I could make any money from it. If I write blogs for the purpose of getting views from Google and optimizing SEO, I totally agree it can make a lot of money. But right now I just want it to be sort of like an online journal where I share my journey. How did your friends/clients their blogs? Is it combination of things?
@Deanna.G3 күн бұрын
@@DinaLu the cool thing about blogging is it gets good SEO just from the fact that it is constantly updated content - that is why a lot of non blog sites have to work so hard to get ranked - and if you’re driving traffic from your other sources (especially email!), you don’t need to go crazy with keyword research or optimizing every post so much that it takes all the personality out of it. In fact with the recent Google updates the majority of bloggers who were more of the lazy SEO types did way better than the ones who worries about every little factor for ranking. Personality driven blogs are making a comeback in my opinion. People love blogs they can relate too and have a conversation with.

Question: having a lot of unrelated digital products in one shop… good or bad? For example, I currently have a “cottagecore twitch overlay” package and a “pre-writing skills prek worksheets” in one shop. These two products are completely different niches. Is this going to affect my shop’s exposure? I enjoy making all different products, so trying to stay in one niche would be difficult😂

This was a perfect mix of giving me better and realistic expectations simultaneously inspiring me to kickstart my own etsy shop.
