Love the RS but have thrown out the original mast and stays. Made one out of carbon fiber and upgraded the hardware. I got tired of it failing twice in the middle of a race. Everyone better bring their A game next race is all I’m sayin. Lol 🦾😆

One of the best filmed instructional videos I have seen. I watched it three times. The dinghies I sailed in 1966 were primitive planks compared to these miracles of design. Equally impressive was the teamwork and coordination of the crews. I wish I was young again...

This video has not been sped up folks! Nice set up with the Gennaker head not being too high up into the block.

I am extremely interested in the bracket used for the camera. I knows its 5 years ago, but could you elaborate on that a little. Where is it/how is it attached and what is it constructed from thanks

Literally a 49er, have some originality rs, I swear you just copy and pasted the design

Michael Redmond Just so that you know, Rs actually owned the 49er design for years, until the ownership rights were sold to ovington boats. when Julian Bethwaite originally designed it, he designed it for Rs. I guess Rs just thought they could replicate the 49er and make it a bit easier to sail, but instead the FX won over. I don't think the 900 was intended to take over from the 49er, but simply just to compete with the FX for the Olympic spot.

Sorry you don't want to buy it. The DVD has sold well and feedback is excellent. As I said, the taster clip is 100% speed, I have used slow motion to demonstrate some of the boat handling techniques in the DVD, obviously the KZfaq clip is not full quality.

I'm not buying it. At .25 the bend in the mast is caused by anti wobble, however it doesn't explain the appearance of dropped frames, which can be explained by playing at 1.25.

No James it is actual speed. The distortion is a result of the video smoothing process: it's quite hard driving a rib and videoing at the same time in this waves!
