Did the lifter fail and seize up? Or was that cam lobe made of butter?

yes lifter needle bearings were shot and caused the roller to lock up under load.

I was going to say it could’ve been a technician prior to it being at auction but then I saw the welding on the muffler😂. I’ve seen techs weld control arms and tie rods so they can drive the car into the shop to do an inspection. But they did that because they had to get under the cars to show what was wrong and why it should be wholesaled…

Welding a sub-frame, smh. The exhaust isn't the worst I've seen by a long shot, but anything dealing with the structural integrity of a vehicle is serious. Shops like that need to be shut down before they kill people.

Did they do a DoD delete at the time of the cam swap? With 60k miles why not delete the AFM/DoD issue at that point? Great video. I'm hoping to be doing this sometime soon on my '19 GS.
