I own many of their products. From trimmers to chainsaws with no complaints. But I'd like to see a real ad. Some dude with his stomach peaking out of his shirt, throwing the lawnmower out of the garage because he's angry that he has to mow while football is on. Beer in hand mowing the lawn while running over some of the kids toys. The mower survives. Man passes out on lawn . End scene.

That’s all good and well, but Stihl still can’t make a chainsaw that starts as easily or runs as well as a Husqvarna!
@HyperSpaceProphet2 күн бұрын
Really? I have both and prefer the Stihls. If you use quality fuel, they both start relatively easily and run well. Stihl may have a slight advantage when it comes to finding parts and lasting longer.

As a fan of spaghetti westerns, I appreciate the multilingual approach to video production even if the American version robo-voice that I saw has a vaguely German accent. Stihl chains are high quality and are made to be resharpened. Don't replace them with inexpensive no-name versions and expect your saw to perform as well. Learn to properly resharpen your chain, it is not rocket-science.

@@Stihl I got it used from someone that had it a month for 100 bucks. Still looks new. I have area about 100 foot long and 5 foot deep behind my fence that needs trimmed. I’ll buy a swing blade and cut it down. Trim it once and spray with round up. I’m not buying a 250-300 dollar trimmer I’d need once for 30 minutes. I’ll never let it get over grown again.

We use Stihl battery trimmers and quite like them. With all the Stihl battery gear, we have experienced many disruptive 'machine fault' red lights on the batteries. Our dealer has suggested a couple of things... 1/ when it happens, you need to take some cover off and clean the electrical solanoid thingy, which is has only occasionally fixed the problem and is pretty disruptive 2/ they noticed we do not transport our machinery with blade covers on, and have said that any dirt which gets caught in the blades while driving will cause the red lights. I dont really believe this to be the cause of the problem, we encounter more dirt inside hedges occasionally. For the last 12 months we have transported gear with blade covers attached and we still encounter the problem. Does anyone have any ideas for what to do here?
@Stihl5 күн бұрын
Hello! Thank you for your comment! We ask for your understanding that we are unfortunately unable to diagnose the cause of the damage remotely. In order to clarify exactly whether it is a material defect or a manufacturing fault, please contact a STIHL specialist dealer in your country again for the evaluation. I have the MSA300 and 4 AP500 S batteries, they fail way, way short for this machine in a professional use, same applies if I use the FSA135. The machines are superb, batteries are not.

Electric is probably fine for most homeowners. But I have real concerns about repairing these new tools. Has Stihl committed to producing spare parts for a number of years? Lots of us have been burned in the past with technology products being told after 4 years or so “sorry we don’t make that model anymore. You need to get a new unit.”
@Stihl23 күн бұрын
We definitely take these concerns very seriously. The supply of spare parts for many years, sometimes decades, is a cornerstone of STIHL and of course also applies to all battery-powered devices.
