It’s really hard not to have an accent speaking a second language. If you happen to have one, that’s fine, it shows that you didn’t lost your original identity, imho.

I feel you on that! its challenging to perfect the accent, and honestly its not neccesary. I always try to encourage people to not care too much about accents, there is no need for it

I was wondering I been jumping around a different videos and you said that you were going to Beijing or maybe it was shanghai to teach English and I was wondering how long ago was that and how long were you there for? I’m assuming you’re back now. what city do you live in now? Also I was wondering what the best way to learn Mandarin is? I took a semester in college. I visited Taiwan several times but I haven’t been really diligent about learning until recently. I’ve been practicing more the last six weeks, so your channels definitely helpful thank you, I’ve been learning watching your videos. I really like this one where you out in public that’s great maybe someday you can do a day in the life video that would be cool.

Hello and welcome! So I was getting ready to go but then with visa complications I wasnt able to go still sucks :(. but ive lived in Chengdu and shanghai. both for about six months As for learning Chinese I thnk the best way by far is to get around Chinese speakers as much as possible. chinese is a very hard languge to translate. What that means for a learner is that you have to be around the language enviroment to actually understand it. not just speak it. so get around chiense people as much as you can

if you do that you will never experience the joy of personal connection with people from another part of the world. It is a beautiful journey to look at a language like chinese, and think to yourself, I could never... then after study do what I did in this video. Ai might be a better google translate. but if you keep that mindset, you will continue to be shut out of the conversations that arent happening in your language. If you do choose to actually learn you will change the way you see the world and for it you will be rewarded
