Thanks for your thoughts. I like that the screens are where they are because when you're looking at your bucket or whatever attachment you have on, your eyes don't have to moving up and down. Just a personal thing I guess. I have mine being delivered this week. Will be running a trencher, auger, dozer/stick rake combination and slasher. Liked and subscribed. Cheers from Australia.

Thats dpf inhibit if working in dry areas when its up to temperature. Dont use it unless you really have to . Filter will clogg or machine will go into limp mode until dealer regens manually. You can regen manually without dealer

Same here. I'm a fan of the Yanmar's. However I do like that it only has the DPF filter and I don't have to carry any DEF fluid as it's below the 75HP power output. Thanks for the comment.

I really like the Takeuchi ctl but I needed “H” controls and the only model that has that option is the tl10 and it’s a little to heavy for me to tow. I bought a new Case 310r and am very happy with it.

For every yanmar that has ( longevity) a kubota motor will outlast another. It’s luck of the draw. In general I know lots of guys including myself in taks with the dreaded kubota motors with nothing but hours logged. My guess is that the fuel consumption and ) torque) is so similar that’s it’s not worth mentioning

I’ve never worked on a A6, I’m wondering if there’s a dip stock under the operator seat . The D60E has one maybe is the same maybe is not. Engine on these have no dramas. Steering is which will be abit in concern. Clutch is not that bad they just need adjustment. If it is the same like the 60E, u can adjust from removing the dip stick cover.

Ah, the joys of older equipment. All that emissions crap is why well-maintained older equipment is in demand. But you really need to buy first-tier equipment (Cat/JD) to find parts and people to work on the older stuff. It's worth paying the premium because it's always a hassle to fix anything else. That dozer seems like a decent machine - engine sounds good. Those tracks are tight - hopefully it's not masking a badly-worn undercarriage.

I couldn't agree more. The newer model equipment with T4 emissions add-ons are trash. My dozer is a 1967 and runs strong! I should have known better than to buy that NH238 [Face Palm] Thanks for watching.

It looks like your blade is not working. Its a 6 way and you just have it going up and down. If you use it for making level, the blade should be 0-0 Tilt is for crowning Rotate is for cleaning/side discharge

Looking at the dozer on the video, especially while it's still on the trailer kinda plays a little havoc with the perception. It looks small but then something goes into the foreground and it suddenly looks much larger. But if I had to guess, it looks to be a D5 or earlier D6 machine. Manual adjustment for angle of blade. For sure a tier 0 machine, so no emissions control to be concerned about. Which means if it doesn't start, battery is low or dead, or there's a fueling/air issue. Possibly a compression issue but that would show as spitting oil or over pressure in the crankcase. Just keep an eye on the pump seals for the trans, change out the oil in the engine, hydraulics, gear boxes and final drives on a schedule. Maintenance is always key and it'll be something that someone else will be enamored with purchasing when you're elderly. I also really dig the logging winch on the back. If you do plan on log dragging with it, I'd suggest building a logging arch, running the cable to another pulley in the arch to take the strain off the mount and chassis. If not, it's still a very cool setup just try to avoid any pulls that are beyond 45° from the centerline of the winch and dozer. To do otherwise risks cracking the drum case or other damage to the machine.

Thank you for your detail comment. This dozer is a Komatsu D60A-3. I called the local Komatsu dealer to find a service manual and they couldn't find anything on it. After much Googling I found a random British website selling a service manual for this unit. Cost was 34 British Pounds ($42 USD). It was a PDF copy of the full manual. I was able to dig though it and it has a wealth of useful information. I'll be posting a "Run Through/Review" video of this machine. I don't plan on using the winch as the trees on my property are relatively small that even my Track Steer can rip down or pull out easily. I plan on selling the winch as I'm sure I'll never use it.
@bishopcorva
@bishopcorva Жыл бұрын
@@MyBoxedInn Neato torpedo for the manual. It may be easier to leave the winch if it's a real oddball and they do come in handy when least expected. But hey, your machine so you have the last say on the matter. I'm looking forward to seeing more that's coming up. Keep it safe out there.

@@kirkpalmer1709 Thank you for the confirmation. I'm not super hip to being able to visually id bulldozers aside from taking a poke at a size estimate. Well, dozers that are not Terex, those seem to be able to be picked out no matter what. Hard to overlook a screaming Detroit and a single lift cylinder, never mind that odd mint-ish green paint.
