Thanks for talking about this topic. I didn't find many videos about it, most of the ones I found say "don't look for excuses and do it anyway." I come from a similar background to you, I worked out 5/6 days a week and that "approved" what I ate. I went to the gym almost every day. A year ago I left social media, so I wasn't having that bombardment of fitness people to compare myself to and feel less than. However, I was trying to get back to the gym several times. Every time I came back, I was afraid. Every time I quit, it was because of health problems. I didn't want to be sick again. Now it's been two months since I left the gym, I'm doing yoga every day, since I have to do some physical activity for health, but my body feels good, and I didn't have any more complications so far 🥳

I had a similar experience and didn't realize I was a lesbian til I was 30. I'm 35 now and happily in a relationship with a woman for the first time after dating men for most of my life

What's "funny" is that every single video I see about "I quit veganism because it was not good for my health" it's either people who were raw vegan, which is really dangerous and unhealthy (i'd rather eat meat than be raw vegan) or people who ate like shit, either unhealthy vegan food or ridiculously low amount of food like salads etc. or already had a previous health condition. Never have I ever seen a vegan who had a bad health and had to quit when they ate healthy AND in enough quantity. Let's not also understimate the placebo effect that plays on many non vegans convinced that they have health problem because of veganism and that they don't have any when they eat animals again. Also, 99% of ex-vegans never were vegans out of compassion for the animals, they actually never mention any type of love and compassion for the animals in their "ex-vegan" explanations videos.

You can think of the animals that we eat as if we are hunting them in the wild. Humans are not designed to be vegan.

Im a dog owner and spend around 1.5-2h daily walking, to work out on top of that is most days just too much. I think I will try to get more into yoga, as it seems to be a softer approach 🙂

I thought I was a lesbian, I got told by many people around me from teenage years that I was a lesbian because I was a tomboy with short hair. I concidered making the switch to become a lesbian, I convinced myself in my brain after years of people grooming me into being a lesbian. Well, it didn't last long, I fell uncontrollably madly in love with my male co-worker. You just know despite what everyone around you is trying to push on you, you know.

Over exercising creates systemic fatigue that can lead to injuries. The secret is to only do exercises you enjoy and listen to your body. If you’re soar, tired, or have aching joints, your body is telling you to rest. If the exercise doesn’t make you feel better, you’re probably doing too much. Very few people need to exercise 5 to 7 days a week, pro athletes for example. Walking is good for you and is something you do anyway. Do activities you enjoy. If you like it, it becomes something you look forward to doing.

I appreciate your video. I was beating myself for not being vegan and thought I am the most horrible person in the world. When I was with vegans who keep saying demeaning things to me, I got really sick. I was and still am a vegetarian and for them, I was still not good enough. It was damaging because food was all life's about. I had to learn to stay away from those type of people.

You have to eat plant protein, it's better for your health, the planet and the animals!
@tinknal64493 ай бұрын
LOL, utterly ridiculous. Plant protein is incomplete, less bioavailable, and comes with lectins, carbs, oxalates, antinutrients, and anwhole bunch of carb calories.

Glad you're well. Plant-based whole foods diet with limited animal products is key. We are designed to eat meat. End of story. Veganism is unfortunately almost cult like. Glad you saw the light and were able to get better.

Sorry to hear about your past experiences. Regarding your experiences it is obviously note worthing that it is just one anecdote among others. Not saying that anecdotes are worthless but there are many confounding variables when doing "personal experiments". You admitted that you were not an ethical vegan, just plant-based, and at the very end you even went more extreme and were on a raw food diet. That is not recommendable and unfortunately unfairly misrepresents a well-designed vegan diet. Cheers.

Thank you so much for this video. I used to love exercising as a kid. I'd skate and play sports and move around for fun. It has become a thing of pressure as an adult. Exercise is for weight loss and the male gaze, and I hate it so much! I just want to be able to enjoy moving my body again.

Heather: I've been a 'Vegan' for over 35 years. I've also taken the first couse from "That place in California" in Raw Foods. I have a few items to share with you! 1) There is NOTHING wrong with eating meat _in the form you describe_ (Read: From the Wilds of Canada); the problem arises when you eat "Supermarket Meat" which is raised primarily on corn & hormone injections! <--That's the bad stuff! 2) Although I'm not a doctor, I could tell from the symptoms & diet you described, that you were lacking in B12. I take B12 as a supplement. (Yes, and girls need iron, too.) 3) Do Not Juice! I HAVE in the past juiced -- for a couple of years -- and it does create digestive issues! Why? Because juice is not a whole food as nature intended -- you very probably, as I did, threw the pulp away! I have one of the most highly rated juicers, in fact I have two of them; and they now sit gathering dust. Eat the whole food! 4) In one of your other videos I saw you cooking eggplant in an Aluminum baking tray! Throw that Aluminum tray out, right now; or use it to set your boots/shoes/galoshes on in winter! Aluminum is toxic!! 5) You describe "losing muscle mass". Been there, done that. You need protein, girl! I've tried eggs for protein, now I'm doing Beans & Rice for protein. That "California Place" does not advocate that -- they want you to eat lots of nuts -- they are nuts. I got to the point where I became allergic to some nuts, until I stopped eating as many and eating Beans & Rice. Rice and beans have _complimentary_ Amino acids which together form _COMPLETE_ protein. 6) I don't know if this affects young people,, but take your salt consumption WAY down!!! 7) I also TRY to avoid Nightshade Vegetables: including Eggplant, Tomatoes, Potatoes, & tobacco. I got all of this by watching just two of your videos. I'm 74 yrs old with no health problems other than being slightly overweight. Good fortune & good health to you! P.S. Also cut Spinach -- it's bad for your organ health.

Thanks for sharing this story! I've been doing shadow work and I realised I've been suppressing that I want to be with woman. I've dated men my whole life, and now I'm 33. It's been quite a rollercoaster accepting this with myself 😂 but it's actually made me so happy to see my true self and stop denying the truth because deep down I've always known that I liked women more but I've been in denial and I actually thought it meant there was something wrong with me 😮 thanks for sharing ❤️
