Some of your opinions I definitely agree. I definitely agree that Tangled is better than Frozen. I honestly was NEVER a fan of Frozen and didn’t get why it became insanely popular. I honestly find it an overrated mess. Personally I find Elsa better than Anna, but not because she’s a queen with powers (why kids love her over Anna) I personally felt Anna was a copy of Rapunzel, just more naive considering how reckless she is in the movie. She isn’t a bad character but she’s pretty dumb half the movie (like wanting to marry the first hot guy she met, what?) I actually liked Elsa had a more jaded personality and kinda understand why she was so introverted, despite prefer her original personality where she was a full on villain, not a tragic hero. I really like Enchanted, but Giselle is not one of my favorite non princesses. I’d say Esmerelda and Kida deserve to be part of the Disney Princess lineup. Most underrated movie would be either Atlantis the Lost Empire or Brother Bear. Both are from the post renaissance era and unfortunately didn’t really get much attention. I know Atlantis has gained a cult following, but I feel Brother Bear is still so underrated, especially because its based in Inuit/Native Alaskan culture. I really love the Lion King 2 and I’d say some of the songs are better than the original. I must agree I don’t love Can You Feel the Love Tonight nearly as much as I did as a kid, Love Will Find a Way is a waay better song imo and I personally found Kovu and Kiara a cuter couple than Simba and Nala. I’d say Hellfire as well is the best villain song alongside Be Prepared, and I definitely agree Frollo is the most terrifying villain and is so underrated. I personally don’t find Jafar that threatening until Aladdin tricked him into wishing to become a genie tbh. For the Little Mermaid, I don’t agree with your opinion of changing who you are so someone will love you. I always said it was Ariel disobeying her father’s orders the entire movie, basically teaching kids its okay to keep disobeying your parents until you get your way. Triton had good reasons for why he didn’t like humans, especially when the third movie revealed why Ariel’s mother isn’t in the first movie. I disagree with Aladdin being a bit of a dick. I’m not the biggest fan of his relationship with Jasmine and don’t get why everyone’s cool with the fact he lied for like 90% of the movie just to win Jasmine’s heart. I don’t get why he didn’t tell her he had a genie, it’s not like he couldn’t prove it or his wishes would vanish if she learned about Genie. But anyway, I still like Aladdin and find him very relatable. Fox and the Hound is definitely the saddest movie along with Bambi. One of my unpopular opinions is Pocahontas is one of the most underrated and overhated Disney movies. I definitely understand why this movie hasn’t aged well for a lot of people sadly, but I feel too many people are so brutal against this movie and refuse to see it as nothing more than an extremely insulting movie making fun of a real Native American woman. Pocahontas actually is my favorite Disney Princess alongside Rapunzel and I find her underrated. She’s one of the few princesses that actually gave a crap about her people’s wellbeing and wasn’t afraid to put John Smith in his place when he badmouthed her people. She doesn’t put up with his attitude and instead teaches him an important lesson about being more respectful and understanding of another person’s beliefs and culture, perfectly showing why her people’s way of life is fine as is and doesn’t need to change. John Smith as well is by far the most overhated Disney “Prince” because he’s based on a terrible person. He was always one of my favorites and I feel a lot of people forget how much he changes in the movie for the better and really wants to help protect Pocahontas’s people and convince his comrades to not fight them. The dude even almost dies saving Poca’s dad, an underrated sacrifice imo. I personally find dudes like Philip and Eric kinda overrated because they don’t really have personalities aside being generic good guys who swoop in at the last second to save the girl.
