Just got myself a Billabong Adventure Division ski jacket, amazing 👏 Their swimsuits are still the best. Billabong still is amazing, don't hate.

There use to have one in Hawthorne NJ. Rose use to run it she's was in some of the Carvel commercials with Tom . It was are favorite haunt after winning a Little league game the best Ice Cream in the day.

Tony Romas in Berlin is doing pretty great i guess. I have to almost always reserve a seat in the restaurant. Otherwise it is hard to guarantee to get a seat.

I quit Motorola in 1999 to start my own business. I'm still rolling strong. When I worked for Motorola, they were the innovator, the 800-lb gorilla that sat anywhere it wanted. Because of this, they didn't respect their competition (just like the Swiss watch makers). They didn't even have an employee plan where employees could get a Motorola phone at a discounted rate. So what did we do? *We bought the competition's phone, which was priced at a price we could afford.* While Motorola was GIVING their phones away to celebrities, they made the employees pay full price. Instead of putting those phones in the hands of the masses, they chose to put them in the hands of the FEW, which did little for marketing. By the time the CEO sent out a massive email, wondering why so many competitor phones were on the Motorola campus (Schaumberg, IL), the writing was on the wall. We laid into corporate management about how we were treated with pricing on the product we manufactured and serviced, at which point they finally decided to come up with an employee purchasing plan. Hell, the game was over by the time they finally got around to it. When I quit, people couldn't believe that I would leave a company like Motorola. Now that I look back, I can say that I left just in the nick of time.

I loved Carvel as a kid growing up in New York. Andy's Frozen Custard in the Chicago area has a very similar vibe to the old Carvel stores and a superior soft-serve product.

I mostly wear Billabong Rusty still to this day. They went wrong by looking like every other clothing line..Nothing stands out . BRING back the days of full print on back of tshirts. NOT this little symbol on the front.

Wolverine gets my business. Work boots hold up great and meet all my needs. Looked at Red Wing as an alternative but at 130% more for basically the same shoe it was a no-bainer. Very satisfied with my Wolverine McKay waterproof steel-toe work boots!!

Those who shut them down are old and retiring out of it. Some of these owners in the region that I live in were 70- 80yrs old. The biggest issue is finding someone to buy them out and they usually want to get out of it quick so they close the doors and everything goes into liquidation and what isn't is just left there in the building that was rented to collect dust. Very few TR restaurant buildings are owned most are just rented.

I will never forget that mid 1980s Carvel TV commercial with that dance beat, and the accompanying vocals to it were, “Carvel Ice Cream AHHHHH, Carvel Ice Cream AHHHHHH………..”

I started work for Oakley U.K. in 1999, when it was based in Letchworth, it was a really great company, great product really unique, I think it’s a shame that Luxottica bought the company because it then just becomes a numbers game. The uniqueness of the product and the history is no longer running through the veins of the company. I never met JJ, but the guy I worked with and for had dealt with him from the beginning and went on to deal with him in his movie camera business. Yeah all I can say it’s a shame, it was a really cool product from the USA, like so many In the 1980s and 90s, but now it’s just another product on a shelf with 1 million other products all driven by a faceless organisation with one goal and that is profit.

for me i did not like bandai namco - dragon ball games , my favourite was on ps2 budokai 3. also many of their games got shut down or low rating. Others are repeated specially Pokémon. only pokemon go was good but do not remember if it was by bandai namco.

Those jerks in Richmond wrote the book on how to destroy a great company. Very stupid executives. They were arrogant. I enjoyed my time working there from 1992 - 1999. It’s a disgrace how it was managed above the store level.

It was the quality of the food that noticeably went downhill. I recall in the early 2000's the ribs were so much better tasting and seemed to be cooked in house. Afterwards, I would not be surprised if the ribs were simply reheated and were cooked at an earlier date. This seemed to be the trend of a lot of franchises over the years. Many people share the same opinion as myself on Tony Roma's especially at the Canadian franchises. It was a go to place in earlier days then changed to stay away of not great tasting food in later years.
