You are killing me :))) - they are all drugged with PEDs. There are only few olimpic sports, you do not need to be drugged. But all endurance-strength-speed disciplines, they are all so drugged. You just can not compete at this level if you are not enchanced ... a lot !!!

Unfortunately PED allows an athlete to not only be stronger but it allows an athlete the physical and mental condition to hold form for far longer than normal. I cannot regard records held by such athletes as valid in any sport. If everyone else are not allowed the same parameters for competing and someone cheats with an unknown advantage then there isn't a competition, it's a rigged game.

It's all relative. Drugs may have been legal last year but added the banned list this year. Rich nations work on better/previously unknown PED then ban the ones they used to use. They all use PED one way or another as long as they were legal at the time.
@fturla___156

@@askay2k Whether a substance is illegal or not isn't the primary concern when banning something from sports. The major perspective or reason the Olympic Organization bans some item, substance, medication, process, or procedure is the unavailable or perceived unfavorable utilization by much of the competing organizations. The major sports that have had a lot of problems with this issue has been baseball, football, and bicycling races. There may be other sports such as race car driving, golf, fire arm contests, etc. that have significant issues, but no one is screaming unfairness at the moment for those sports.

Unfortunately for you, not even PED allows you to become smarter than a mo Ron. Trimetazidine is a well-known heart medication for a well-known heart condition that Sun Yang has always had. Even the organization that bans substances makes mistakes sometimes, which is why it has UN-BANNED trimetazidine. When a medication is UN-BANNED, it should be obvious that they made a mistake banning it in the first place. Isn't it obvious? Extremely obvious? Mo Ron. Also, the fact that Sun Yang has been able to keep ALL of his world records and gold medals already speaks volumes about the lack of credibility of accusations from a mo Ron like you. Isn't that obvious? Extremely obvious? T - roll. Sun Yang is the ONLY man in the entire modern history of swimming to have won Olympic and World championships in BOTH short and long distances, i.e. 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, and the only man to have broken the world record in the 1500m TWICE, as well as the only man to have won 4 consecutive World Championships in the 400m, whether jealous t - rolls like you like it or not! Always wonder when to bend the elbow...and try to remind myself to do it, but it feels like I loose a little momentum, like I am letting water escape from the wake of my forearm. Still this guy's right upper arm stays almost parallel with the surface as his elbow starts to bend. It then dips as his body rolls ( I presume) . His left elbow dips much more, but that is the way for all swimmers as far a I can tell. At some point, the idea of symmetry goes out the window, or at least it just stays an ideal.

The Chinese athlete is taking drugs that make him stronger and allow him to maintain the most efficient swimming form far longer than a normal swimmer. If he didn't take the drugs, his pacing would have been more erratic and his swim form would have declined to become less efficient over time because of fatigue. Usually, the normal highly competitive swimmer alters their swim technique when they change the pace of their swim, but the Chinese swimmer only increased his pace and kick without altering his arm stroke style and body rotation. That's unusual and probably an indication of taking PED, because a normal swimmer when they want to conserve energy or they want to sprint alter their swim style noticeably. That very early high elbow catch may not be duplicate-able by other swimmers especially if you need the strength to set it up without injuring yourself while using it long term. Everyone suspects that he's been taking a cocktail number of drugs since before 2014 and the likelihood he has been training under Chinese supervision with drug enhancements for much of his career is probably true. Since half of all drug violations caught in swimming has been with the Chinese, I don't think anyone has any doubts that the official Chinese athletic organization either allows, condones, or routinely encourages cheating by drugs or any other aspect of non-competitive methodology. The Russians are the same way.

My sympathies to those from last year that got very little for the effort.
