This carreer will eat more than 15k pcu. considering the main official servers have 20k pcu/player it will be a big investment. when I made it I skiped some of the artilery cannons to free up some pcu. It also has 3 big hydrogen tanks to fill out, quite an effort even with a 4x driller ship mining pure ice. And going from 1g planet to space will take around 30% fuel. It's a bit of overkill for a single player to operate it. I found a much lighter design which has all 3 engine types and can be used for long travels cheaper, running mostly on uranium and space jumping as well. But for a mobile base which can be moved to resources and then hidden it works well, but will cost 2 tanks of hydrogen to go to planet and back to zero-g.

Make small outposts near each crash site, will help a ton. Also, start building a second base on top of the starting area, not near the crash site in the hills, but on the large valley.

I got a suggestion for the next large Colony project: Colony Occupation. A planet you and your crew are visiting comes under overwhelming attack. In hours, the planet is completely occupied, leaving you stranded with no hydrogen, little ammo, a barebones cave base, and no antennas. Your goal is to either last long enough for RWI to come to your aid, or acquire a means to break through the blockade and escape be yourselves.
