😅You had me laughing so hard I almost spit tea on my fabric. I was just thinking, “I’m not going to tease her about the bag (pouch) in the bag, and then you said that “Kathleen will be laughing about my bags…”. I can’t believe you filmed the night before leaving, but I’m glad you did, since I enjoyed watching. LOVE your color change on En Ete. I have that pattern and think I’ll change the colors too. That was quite a find to get the oval tray that matches the oval for the Luminous Fiber Arts piece. I just finished stitching it and thought it would be impossible to find an oval that was “squished” just the right amount. Have fun in Florida!!

🤣🤣🤣 it cracked me up as I looked at that bag "stitchuation" ! I'm not sure I'm loving the black for the vase on that Et strawberry stitch, but keeping with it. And I started the heart in hand bee lady on that checkered banding piece. Loving it! We finally enjoyed our pool yesterday. Rains and storms made the water cold but air temps way humid. Good temps coming this week. Hope you are doing well!

Hi Lana-great video, thanks so Much. Not sure if you said where you’d be in Florida but if you’re in the St.Petersburg area it would be such fun to meet up with you for some stitching time; perhaps at the Crafty Framer or a fun coffee shop near the beach. Florida is so big so wherever you are, enjoy the stitch!🪡🧵

Thanks for watching, Melinda. Staying in The Villages. We like the golf cart living and we have a place with a pool, although the water needs to warm up after all the rain. I'm sure that'll happen pretty fast. St Pete is a lovely area! We may be meeting up with family near there when they come down for a week. I will need to check out the Crafty Framer if we're nearby! Happy stitching!

Lana hi, I am enjoying your videos., I wish I knew you were at the Needlefeast in NJ as I would have liked to meet you. I more then likely did see you but did not realize who you were. I met Kathleen there . I live in Claymont Delaware (north tip of DE 5 mins from the PA line) so not too far from either of you. Like some of you patterns you are planning to do. See you again soon.

Lana, I was happy to find your video first thing this morning so watched it while I had my coffee. I have had my featherweight for 30 years ! It is a 1934 and still going strong. I do all my piecing on it. It’s been to many retreats . My father found it at a sewing machine repair shop in California after I told my parents that I wanted one and sent it to me. My mother told me that her best friend in high school received one as a high school graduation present in. 1950. My best friend who passed away from Covid in 2021 had a mission to find affordable featherweights. She would clean and service them and sell them for very reasonable prices. She wanted to share the joy and keep them from ending up in a landfill so she sold them for very reasonable prices. There are many quilters I know who have one because of her. You might one to keep an eye out for a featherweight card table that were made in the 40’s. It is great to sew on outside on your porch. Congratulations ! Carla in Alabama

Awww, thank you, Carla!! I love hearing the stories of how people's Featherweights found them! I'm enjoying finish YTs out there and following a few people who restore them. I love your friends legacy of keeping so many machines going. I'm inspired that maybe that servicing them could be a new calling for me. I hope younger quilters continue to join in the joy of acquiring them! I would love to know how many of us use Featherweights and love cross stitch! Would be a fun fb group! Nice to hear from you!!

Yay Lana! Last night I was thinking that it was hopefully time for you to post another floss tube and here you are and I’m so glad! Your Glitter Village houses are adorable! I bought all of them apparently about the same time you did but haven’t started them. I didn’t get any fabric at the time so need to look for a neutral metallic opalescent aida if possible. Any suggestions are appreciated as I’m raring to go now. My LNS is having a 25% off sale in January so perfect timing. You mentioned that you found more Carolers like you shared last time. My goal is to get at least one this year. Apparently you have become my personal enabler 😊. You have a good sense of color for making substitutions. Thanks for a lovely video! Have a great 2024! Carla in Alabama

Happy New Year, Carla! That's exciting you are ready to kit up Glitter Village and your LNS has savings all month long! I went with DMC brand opalescent aida I could get at Joanns. Might have also seen it at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. There's a very nice faint DMC pink opalescent aida I'm using for ornaments and the white shows up. It would also let you stick with all the called for floss. Happy hunting for a caroler this year! I unexpectedly purchased one around Christmas Eve at a nearby Christmas shop. It's signed by Joyce Byers! And I'm now following a FB group where people share their displays and unique carolers. You might like that, too! Happy stitching!

Hi ....I'm a new subscriber...so I'm catching up to your videos....regarding Mill Hill, I love them but it's annoying you have to figure out the gradation of the floss colours...however, each symbol chart gives you the DMC # right beside the 'floss color.....if you have the DMC floss book with all the floss in colour families you can match them up...I use my DMC chart to match up the colour & then wind the floss in the kit on a bobbin, write on the number so when it calls for 'dark blue' you just move hour eye to 'floss No' column & get right blue.....if you don't have a DMC floss card I recommend it, especially since you like to change colours from called for.....Can you let me know what your Instag name is? I can't find you there

I purchased vinyl but after seeing how it stuck to charts made me regret buying. So yes, please enable me to make bags while I rehabilitate from an upcoming surgery! Love the flamingo bag. When we moved to Florida, we decorated the bath in flamingos. It was so cute!

I love Flamingos and that bath sounds perfect! When I finally have time to make bags, I want to crank them out, and vinyl just always seems to slow me down. I agree that they stick for me as well. A friend of mine just made a whole bunch on vinyl ones because she likes to file them in a long bin, but I'm a little more rogue and have my mishmash of sizes. Lol 😆 Hope you get some quality sewing and stitchy time ahead despite surgery...wishing you speedy recovery!

Hi there! I’m from Hershey, just a bit west of you! Your finishes are lovely, and I really admire the way you used that large arched frame - - thinking outside the box! I have a hand tremor so some days I can’t make the needle behave, but some days I make a bit of progress on my stitching. I’m a monogamous stitcher, finishing each project before starting another. Works for me! I enjoyed this video from you.
