Simle folks! Whites, particularlly the white male, will never accept becoming equal or a minority to non-white period. They have always been frightened by the mere thought of becoming a minority in this country. White males may fear becoming a minority in the United States because they perceive it as a threat to their status and privilege. Historically, as the majority group, they have held power and influence, so the idea of losing this dominant position can be unsettling. This fear is driven by the belief that a majority-minority nation would shift the social and economic balance of power, potentially reducing their advantages and opportunities. As far as reading white authors; YES, we should be reading black voices too. But the white work is also valuable and needed because humans are more likely to first accept hard truths from a representative of their own communities. So it is not JUST about racism. I grew up in the white Churches of Christ in the 1970s and 1980s. This lecture series will fall flat with white Christians. They all wish they could bring back slavery. Our elders would do Blackface routines to entertain the old people, with us youth watching in horror.. The only thing that will end racism in Christianity is for Christianity to end. Remember that the Christians are all on board with every instance of genocide in the Old Testament. Ask one of them, they will say the same. The most liberal statement on race that I ever heard from a Church of Christ elder was, "We don't have a problem with the Negros, as long as they know their place." Let that sink in. I doubt there is a single Christian nowadays who also isn't in the Ku Klux Klan. My sister and I were beaten by our adoptive Church of Christ father. I was older so I took most of the blows. I learned how to operate a carpentry router while my dad was routing off the edges of the paddle he used on my sister and me, after he broke the first paddle on my sister's ass. I am 55 and have chips off my vertebrae that my good Christian father took off with his instrument of correction. Add to that the Christian commitment to cruelty to animals, not just children. Excusable from the Christian perspective because "animals don't have souls". While any normal person can see that animals feel suffering and pain. And we had to sit back and watch our Christian parents inflict torture on household pets, when they weren't swatting us with boards and sticks. And to the Christians, this is how life is supposed to be.

We will never endorse anyone in politics for any office , including President . However , we do encourage our members to vote . My wife and i were very excited when we cast our first 2 votes for Ronald Reagan , our greatest and most successful Christian President . We voted for the best President of all time in President Reagan . We teach our kids at our Fundamental Baptist K - thru 12th grade school the truth , that President Reagan is our greatest President . Every morning at our Fundamental Baptist K - thru 12th grade school , we play God Bless America by Connie Francis , our kids say the Pledge of Allegiance the right way , with the words Under God included , then the kids sing America the Beautiful . Our kids are taught that they are human beings created in God's image , that they are not animals . My wife has been called the best first grade teacher by our Pastor , and you should see the precious look on a little boy or girl's face when she asks one of them to lead the class in prayer . Jesus is the truth and he is alive today . Darwin and his pseudo science lies are dead . Jesus is alive . Darwin ,Marx , Hitler , Stalin , John Lennon ,Walter Cronkite , Madalyn Murray O'Hair and Christopher Hitchens are dead . A cute little joke , 2 boys are kneeling in a corner in a public school .
