Very impressive! You have a decent sense of tone IMO. I've seen your post on Pure Data's forum. Can you tell that it's enough to use Raspberry Pi 4 B+ with 2Gb of RAM for sound FX/synth projects? I don't plan to use very long samples or huge sample libraries. But the budget is limited. I'm guessing that you're good about Raspberry stuff.

it always amazes me that incredible creations like this - built off other incredible creations (automatonism) can have so few views!! well done on this. mind if i ask: what library are you using to talk to PD on your machine? or is the PD screen we are seeing the rpi?
@f1oat3d
@f1oat3d 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. The PD screen will disappear soon as the goal is to build a modular synth with analog like physical front panel. The panel is currently driven by an Arduino Nano. Buttons and jack connections are reported over an I2C bus. This bus is connected to the RPi-4 where a small Python script is converting to OSC messages. OSC messages are then received by PD which is using them to drive sliders.

On PD side, OSC messages are received with mrpeach library

I just downloaded and applied a patch for ILS on the pi zero from tangentsoft. Crazy how much of a difference it makes to the aesthetic over no ILS. Totes recommended for any zero users.

PyCloid's modifier attached to an object doesn't seem to respond to Scene physics - what am I missing?
@fengari1914
@fengari1914 4 жыл бұрын
What I am missing is that the strength of the Scene physics need to be greater than those set by the Generator - yet to experiment with the modifier (assume it's the same scenario.)

Yes it is - but directional forces need to be extremely high and initial plug-in forces really, really small for this to take effect! Is this something peculiar with Carrara 8.5? I wonder - the originator seems not to be bothered, perhaps due to a lack of interest in his initial releases. Shame - this could have become one of Carrara's most fabulous plugins [sad but true!]

@f1oat3d Hello! Why did you change? The old one was a 3ooorpm at 50hz no? not this one... ( I'm retrofiting the same machine i have to choose the motor ;-) THANK YOU!

Hello, this new motor is giving more torque at low rpm., and can be driven up to 167 Hz without problem for high speed. I have followed retex from zmajmr: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j-BgYLZ6ybGyg3U.html. He has tested several different motors before finding this one.

Yes, that is a good motor. Thank you for having cleared this path! I am back to work on this machine. During the WE, I have swapped the motor and all air pipes. Also made some fine tuning on the software. Next step is powering up the lubrification pump.

Hi Sir, Got exactly the same 4th axis (6040Z-S80) but i'm struggling getting the right parameters in Mach3. Do you mind sharing the A axis configuration in Mach3 ? (and if you use radius for feedrate.) Thankssssss

f1oat3d f1oat3d thanks for the quick reply. I might give linuxcnc a shot one of these. That said, I just wanted the specific settings for the A axis (steps, e5c...). And yes deskproto is a fantastic piece of software.

I am using standard 12V white LED strip such as www.adafruit.com/products/887 Connect two ribbons in series to achieve 24V rating. Can be powered by the UMO power supply (20V) by soldering on the PCB power supply connector. 3D print a triangular shaped bar so that the LED strip is oriented 45° in the corner inside of the printer frame.

Amazing!!!! Which 3d program do you use?? How did you linked the MIDI data with the 3D? I tried to make something similar on 3dsmax and I didn't found a way to make these links. I only got to link Audio Card data to 3D. So I made a funny 3D analogic VU Meter for all sounds played in computer..... lol Thank you!
