I definitely will get around to it. I think I might prefer it to Ableton when it comes to chopping breaks...tough choice though

Damn! I mean, I appreciate that you enjoy my channel but I don't think Ned Rush has a snobby personality to be honest...think he's funny whilst informative!

does anyone here know how aphex does very, very many variations on the Syro album? I've been scratch my head for a long time and I can't figure out if it's all done manually or with the help of all sorts of generators.
@eptiar20 күн бұрын
I have a video going over sequencing in the style of Syro if that helps. Let me know if I can help with that any more!
@unnplEx19 күн бұрын
@@eptiar Speaking of syro, will you be making a video about microtuning? Personally, I don't understand anything about this at all, and when I opened MTS-ESP, I was in shock
@eptiar19 күн бұрын
@@unnplEx Yes hopefully sooner rather than later. I just need to research the theory side of it more. Have you tried Entonal Studio? I found that a lot easier than MTS-ESP
@unnplEx19 күн бұрын
@@eptiar no, I didn't use Entonal Studio, but I will definitely try, thanks for the advice!
@eptiar19 күн бұрын
Yeah I'd definitely recommend it. It's a lot cheaper too...I think I got it for £60-70? But yeah, I use that to create tunings and then export them into Ableton. I think it's great! Let me know how you find it if you do try it out

I just saw the Renoise “R” in your tray, I would love to see a Renoise tutorial! I used both Renoise and Ableton, but I prefer composing in Renoise for the per step modulation commands. This is cool too though, I want some CDP style Timestretching for Ableton.

I'd love to one day! In all honesty, I'm still pretty new to it so I don't think it'd be best for me to show others how I use it just yet...Maybe soon though?

Apart from the voice thing mentioned, I think it'd be great if you add some amount of limiting to the preview track at the beginnng of the video, so the details are more audible.
@eptiarАй бұрын
Oh cool good idea! I might give it a go. The reason I haven't is because I want the intro to directly reflect what's in the tutorial. I'll definitely try it though and see how it goes

Hey man, new to your channel and this is rad, thank you! Autechre are an all time fav, those dudes have done unspeakable things with sound. I’m fairly new to ableton but I’m going to try these things out tonight. I’ve been having fun running beats through glitchy patches on the Zoia, hours go by in a flash.

Glad you found it helpful! Welcome to Ableton haha

i like to use voiceofsnow (free abandonware on kvr) for either making something more tonal or more atonal, but i also use ghz lossy and ua specops (esp contrast) for making things spectral and tonal. also stuff like bitcrushing and then compressing, making some quiet stuff clickier and removing noise floor to make chopping sounds easier.
@eptiarАй бұрын
Just checked out voiceofsnow. It's cool! Hadn't heard of it before. I'm hoping to grab metasynth soon so that'll be my new spectral playground

Your voice is at a correct volume, but everything else is so in the background, if I turn up the volume and suddenly you speak, your voice almost makes my speakers explode.
