I am very glad that according to the canon they are just friends, because I don’t believe in changes of m*n, and in my opinion this ship is kinda toxic and problematic

@@frob1e Maybe I’m wrong, but here’s my opinion. M*n throughout the season treated Ryan like a piece of shit, didn't put him in anything, humiliated him in every possible way, never apologized, behaved like an asshole, blamed him for all his problems and almost all global problems, threw him alone several times, but only Ryan PHYSICALLY couldn't come back for him, then that's it, turn on the offended mode "I could have died there, but you didn't do anything." Yes, in the last episode he began to appreciate their friendship, but it's TOO little time for changes. Ryan changed throughout the season, but m*n didn't have any special changes. Yes, they had a couple of pretty pleasant interactions, but you can literally count them on your fingers :/

I've realized that this entire system could have been used as a prison as well since it was already a rehabilitation center. Where failure to repent is met with death. But i guess the creator is too ruthless for forgiveness as seen in his design

All while getting a glimpse of how the grieving widow gets ultimate power.

yes, tho there are a lot of subtle yet important changes that make this work as a standalone pilot better than the real episode in the show would. One of the main ones being "Huh, I think I got my push" at the very end. This wouldn't work well in the show but works goosebumpingly well here.
