Lived close to Omaka during WWII, our father served most of his wartime experience there. Never saw a Mossy but plenty of others. Mossy overrated? Ask the Germans, they didn’t think so. Read “Focus on Europe” by Ron Foster, Kiwi pilot with RAF and his war exploited and photo recon over Europe. Believe he survived over 90 sorties, many more than most. He lived to write the incredible story. Such a great friend now passed into memory.

@GBlanchy4 ай бұрын
US Air Force F16 pilot Ethan “Bantam” Smith said the flight to the Otago tourist town would take 30 minutes in “economy mode”, but in fast mode, the time could be cut in half to just 10 to 15 minutes. Not sure who started this 7 minutes gag but it’s funny.

Dad?, yes son? Are those jets from our airforce? No son, We don`t have any of our own. Why not Dad? they`re cool. Son they cost too much for our country to have, Dad? yes son? If the Russians want to come here and blow us up like the Ukraine wouldn`t it be better if we could fight back with some of those jets? Yes son, but our Government spent all the money for defending us on other birds. Will they stop us being attacked if the Russians come? No Son, Kakapos can't even save themselves.
@sailorman86684 ай бұрын
Just out of interest, if NZ did have some jets, what chances would they have of defeating a Russian aerial attack? Your ignorant rhetoric is just a misguided joke pal.

How does New Zealand defend its self with no fighter jets?
@MichaelEnright-gk6yc3 ай бұрын
It stays friends with it's Allies. The cost of running a fighter wing is more than the cost of the entire Defence forces budget. The big 4 banks and many other Australian owned businesses don't pay any tax on profit made in NZ. So Australia gets about $5 to $7billion of New Zealand tax money to pay for their super expensive f35 's at over $200 million each with upgrades and stupendous running cost's the Australian govt did not realise how expensive this would become. So the recommendation from the Parliament was to cut flying time in half to bring cost's down to being affordable. So pilot training will suffer on ground crews will not be up to speed not enough technictians either RAAF pay is no where near private sector. the f35 will be a white elephant. The Canadian govt knew this and bought all Australia's reliable and much cheaper fa 18's. So what planes would be best for NZ I say drones and rockets make far more sense for us especially as we have such a large territory to cover. Drone boats diesel long range helicopter drones .
@TillyOrifice3 ай бұрын
The question would still apply if they had some. Small countries don't typically defend themselves by building and maintaining powerful armed forces.

I really like this bike's design, I've grown to love it even more when I learned about the history of the development of this motorcycle brand. It's a great pity that the founder passed away without anyone continuing its development. Otherwise, today we might still see this motorcycle model cruising on the streets, and there would be new models competing with the well-known motorcycle brands in the world.
