The problem is a new job where I am can see your employment history because they access your revenue data for payroll and tax purposes. If you dont mention it they will see it anyway. And so will your next job. And that's before you start.

So, you need to make 100k extra to buy a house every year? If I had a 100k laying around every year I wouldn’t be looking online for videos on how to make money

Very wise advise. BEFORE starting a Bootcamp do spend a few months (or at least weeks, but months would be better...) studying and practicing on your own the material that the bootcamp is going to teach. Not only because this way you will hit the ground running and take much more advantage from the bootcamp then the average dude who goes in with no idea about what he or she is going to do... but also because you will be able to make a objective and safe assessment about whether you do have the passion and inclination needed to become a professional programmer, and to do it in such an intensive and difficult way.

These bootcamps have "high placement rates" because the bootcamp generally hires students who have completed the bootcamp as TA's. Still much rather have that University background (outside the USA) in comp science, and a strong foundation in stats/maths, but bootcamp can work if you work your ass off

I just left my dev job last year and in my down time, I decided to work on sales skills. This was the best decision I could've made to improve my social skills and learn how to regulate emotionally. I'm also now interested in blending the two skills.
