I’m about to take calc 3 in the fall, do you think your book would be helpful to me?
@MathTimeWithProfessorPrime3 күн бұрын
@@maxrivera7367 It was designed to be helpful in general. If you're looking for a different perspective on math, education, tips, looking at things on a more meta level, figuring out what you may need to navigate, and more, then I think that will help. It's a different kind of math book. You can look at the sample and see if the energy and content meet your needs. If you're looking for things to cement the content knowledge, check my site, the link's below. It has a free online resource page (notes, worksheets, videos, etc.). Calc III is on there, but so are the classes leading up to it. I hope all of this helps. Please don't ask more questions if you have them. www.mathtimewithprofessorprime.com/

To me, math is like life. I love it and hate it, it drags me down but also boosts me to new heights. For every unsolvable problem that shows the limit of our knowledge, I look back at the thousands of accomplishments that remind me about how smart we are and that we have the potential to do something incredible. I still need to remind myself to appreciate what math has done for me and everyone else. Math freakin' rocks!

i see what your saying but idk how to wire my brain like that there is always a man in my head screaming to do better like ok you won well win better next time i feel like there no is time to celebrate accomplishments in 2024 the world is becoming increasingly more difficult an the slightest comfortability can throw one off the rails just my personal opinion great video
@MathTimeWithProfessorPrimeАй бұрын
Thanks about that last part! And hey, I get it. It's a process and I can relate. I have had to remind myself of the progress I've made. For me, I try to make some time to celebrate my accomplishments. I don't always succeed. When I do though, it actually fires me up. I get to take stock of things and it helps plan further. You know your potential, it's why you're pushing yourself. Celebrating yourself doesn't diminish nor negate that potential. In fact, celebrating your accomplishments while reflecting on them can be deeply informative for the future. That's the point I'm at. I celebrate, and I wonder how I can use it. Self-celebration isn't complacency, and we owe it to ourselves to acknowledge what we've done. Besides, it can help other people do the same. That being said, like I said, I can relate. Too well even. It's all a process. So I get it.

@@MathTimeWithProfessorPrime This video gives me the feeling I got when I was thinking about A New Hope, not trusted with Star Wars. Just imagining an empty galaxy with stars, the pov of a cockpit staring right into it. I don't know if I'm just weird, but it's just so comforting.

Yes! That's something that I want to talk to about in a Math and Final Fantasy X video, which is on my list. That list is long, but in a good way. That being said, I appreciate this comment because it absolutely could be its own video. I appreciate that they very much don't hide the math. Blitzball is involved!

@MathTimeWithProfessorPrime2 ай бұрын
Glad to hear that first part and I know a lot of people who can relate to the rest of it. The world is ever evolving and math is everywhere, and yet it's not taught that way, or at least well or consistently enough. We haven't adjusted or updated things enough either. In any case, glad you shared. Side note, those scenarios sometimes...yikes.

Thank you! Also, understood. That's one of my big things. We're doing math all of the time, yet we don't really talk about it. For RPGs, they're so great! They're a shining example of math in games. I have been, am, and shall remain here for it!

Sorry. That's rough. Also far too common to feel that way. I've seen it way too many times. If it helps, regardless of how you or anyone else felt or feels and regardless of how anyone does in school, math is the superpower you've always had. School doesn't change that. Fear doesn't change that. You may not always write it down. You may not always be conscious of it, but you're always doing the math.
